The answer to the question is this: All dharmas are contained in emptiness. The wisdom of suchness, abandoning all discriminations such as grasping and being grasped, is like the sky, without afflictions and obscurations of knowledge. That is Bodhi. Those who wish to be contained in such Bodhi are called Bodhisattvas. This applies to Bodhisattvas from entering the first bhumi up to the ninth bhumi. After attaining the tenth bhumi, they are proclaimed as Buddhas. The answer to the question of "How is one called a Buddha?" is: A Bodhisattva who has perfected the ten bhumis, who has become master of the ten powers as spoken of, who abides in samadhi, and who, even when arising from it, realizes that the skandhas and other dharmas are like illusions, and who knows that the continuum of worldly beings is emptiness and like illusions in the nature of conventional and ultimate truth, that is called a Buddha. Ordinary Bodhisattvas also realize that dharmas are emptiness and like illusions, and they know the continuum of all beings in the world, but because they have not abandoned all unfavorable aspects, their realization of dharmas as emptiness and like illusions becomes an obstacle to unfavorable aspects when they arise from meditative equipoise. Therefore, it is specifically stated that the ten bhumis and the perfection of the ten bhumis are called Buddhahood. Buddhahood means abandoning inverted antidotes and being contained in non-inversion. Dharmas are the nature of the sky, non-dual, with one nature. The ten powers are fully enlightened, and that is fully enlightened. This is the answer to the question of "How is one a supreme victor?" The Buddhas called Bodhisattvas of the ten bhumis, their containment of dharmas in emptiness, is also contained in their respective natures. Beyond that, those emptinesses that are even more contained in their respective natures, those emptinesses of form are the emptinesses of feeling, the emptiness of form and the emptiness of feeling are not different, and so on. In this way, all dharmas are non-dual like the nature of the sky, with one nature, the ten powers are complete, and fully contained, that is called fully enlightened.

Furthermore, the nirvana with the residue of afflictions refers to the Bodhisattva who abides in the state of Samantabhadra. The term "supreme of victors" means to conquer the four maras. Who abandons mere concepts? If the nature cannot be shown, then by whose wisdom? When fully enlightened, even the mere concept that all dharmas are absorbed into the single characteristic of emptiness is abandoned. The wisdom that appears by itself, the nature cannot be shown, that complete nirvana without residue is called the Tathagata. Now, the eight secret mudras will be explained. These mudras are applied to stabilize the transformation of the mantra practitioner into the deity's form. There are two ways to transform into the deity's form: transforming into the body of the Tathagata and transforming into the body of the Bodhisattva. If these mudras are used to bless the transformation into the body of the Tathagata, then these mudras, being the mudras of the Tathagata, will transform into the very nature of the Tathagata. Among them, there are also two ways to perfect the deity's form: perfecting the place and perfecting the body. Perfecting the place are the two mudras: the indestructible vajra mudra and the lotus treasury mudra. The remaining six are used to perfect the body. Now, they are divided into three types: perfecting the body, speech, and mind. Among them, the mudras that perfect the body are the mudra of arising all limbs and the mudra of light. The two mudras, the dharani mudra and the dharma abiding mudra, are for perfecting the mind. The many ornaments of the Buddha's melodious voice mudra is the mudra for perfecting speech. The great union mudra is the mudra for perfecting the union of samadhi. The order of applying these mudras is as follows: first, with the indestructible vajra mudra, bless the basis of one's own dwelling and the mandala of the great lord as the vajra seat. Then, bind the samaya mudra, protect oneself and the place, make offerings, bless as Vajrasattva, etc., perform according to the order as stated, and then transform oneself into the deity's form according to the order described above. First is the lotus.
