That which is inseparable: The lord of mantras, appearing in various forms. This means that just as space is of one nature, unchanging, and transcends the three times, so too, the nature of suchness, the lord of mantras, is also unchanging, completely perfect, not abiding in the three times, but manifesting qualities such as power and fearlessness. Abiding only in understanding by name, separate from actions and other aspects. That space is said to be speech by the wise. There is nothing to understand in name, like space. Thus, he who is rich in secret mantras, he also appears as speech. This means that the speech of the Tathagata, the inexhaustible vajra ornament, the nature blessed by the seed syllables, is not truly an existing thing, but is shown to be so. Just as space exists only in name, but space itself is neither of a non-existent nature nor an existing thing made by another, it is merely called space, and there is no existing thing called space beyond the name, so too, the essence of the lord of mantras is merely an appearance of conventional truth, and is not an existing thing. Not fire, wind, or water. This and so on means that the nature of the Tathagata's enlightenment is not the nature of the four great elements such as fire and water, nor the dwelling place of the four great elements such as the sun and moon, nor the nature of things named by names such as day and night. Whoever desires to attain the state of omniscience should diligently cultivate the nature of enlightenment that is separate from the things mentioned above. Now I will explain the three samayas, which are of two types: the three samayas of cause and the three samayas of effect. The three samayas of cause are the mind of entering, the mind of abiding, and the mind of rising. The three samayas of effect are the three aspects of the inexhaustible body of the Bhagavan. The meaning of the word samaya can also be explained as all-pervading, that is, the mind of entering, abiding, and rising. It means to go by this. It can also be explained as all-pervadingly attained or contained, that is, the inexhaustible vajra ornament of the body, and so on.

Obtaining or comprehending these three things is for the sake of those things themselves. Here, the vow of the cause is explained. That is, from then on, Vajrapani, the Lord of Secrets, said to the Bhagavan, and so on. Among them, "three other dharmas" refers to the three different minds of entering, abiding, and arising, hence they are called three other dharmas. The so-called "from other dharmas, the three vows arise in an unobstructed manner" means that by practicing the three minds of entering, etc., the characteristics of the three vows of Vajra adornment, such as the inexhaustible body, arise without obstruction. This is connected to the previous sentence, "Listen, I will tell." "What is the other dharma" refers to what is said in order to separately explain the three minds of entering, etc. Among them, the mind of entering, from "the nature of the mind that has not been cultivated at first" to "the characteristic of Bodhi," "the nature of the uncultivated" means that the aggregates and realms, etc., have not been analyzed by wisdom. The so-called "wisdom that arises accordingly" refers to the wisdom of no-self of phenomena that arises immediately after not cultivating. The so-called "it also produces complete knowledge as it is" means that wisdom produces knowledge of all phenomena as they are. Therefore, it is said, "The mind without any network of distinctions is the characteristic of Bodhi," that is, the discrimination of clinging to and being attached to the characteristics of the aggregates and realms, etc., is an obstacle to liberation, and this discrimination itself is called a net. The mind without any network of distinctions is the mind that comprehends emptiness.

Explains the arising mind between the three. "Seeing things as they are" means that with the mind of entering and abiding, one comprehends Suchness without error. Having comprehended Suchness in this way, one acts for the sake of sentient beings who do not abide in Suchness. Therefore, it is said, observing all the realms of sentient beings, etc. Observing the realms of sentient beings is not with attachment, nor is it observing for the sake of benefit and respect. Therefore, it is said, Secret Lord, due to the control of compassion, the mind of enlightenment arises in non-objectification. What is the mind of enlightenment? It is said: Just like this, may all sentient beings be completely established in the enlightenment that is free from all elaboration and without characteristics. In short, abiding in the non-discrimination of Suchness, due to the power of past aspirations, being controlled by compassion, in non-objectification, may all sentient beings be established in the enlightenment that I have comprehended, that is, abiding in the enlightenment that is free from all elaboration arising from discrimination and without characteristics, this is the arising of the mind of enlightenment. This is what is called the "Three Samayas," as mentioned before, the mind of entering, abiding, and arising, these three are the Samayas. Secret Lord, what are the Three Samayas? etc., this is the explanation of the minds of entering, etc. "The first mind is the Buddha" refers to the first mind of entering, that is, being called Buddha by comprehending the selflessness of the aggregates and other dharmas. Because the meaning of the word "Buddha" is "comprehension." "The second is called Dharma" refers to the mind of abiding, that is, holding the characteristics of the self-nature of Suchness. "The mind that arises together with this is proclaimed as Sangha" refers to the characteristic of the irreversible Bodhisattva Sangha, which transforms into the form of the gods at the very moment of comprehending the emptiness of all dharmas due to the control of compassion. Hero, the protectors have explained these three Samayas to you, that is, as mentioned before.
