Moreover, it should be known that the explanation through the distinctions of the three levels is also in a manner of gradual progression. That is, those bodhisattvas on the eleventh bhumi, who are called "Buddhas," abide on the twelfth bhumi and are urged by the light of the Bhagavan. From entering the place of the three samayas, they transcend those ten bhumis and abide in the position of realizing great wisdom and possessing empowerment. Then, they transform into the form of Samantabhadra Buddha and demonstrate the activities of the Buddha. When the nirmanakaya Shakyamuni generally demonstrates the activities of the Buddha, it should be known that those bodhisattvas abide in the place of Samantabhadra. Samantabhadra Bodhisattva arises from the practice of Samantabhadra and is sent forth by the sambhogakaya, acting in the Buddha-field. Therefore, until the position of Samantabhadra Buddha is attained, they ascend from the place of Samantabhadra and abide in a position like a stepping stone to entering the place of Samantabhadra Buddha. In general, among the beings to be tamed, those who are the chief are the completely pure, and those who are not completely pure as explained in the scriptures, are of two types. Among them, the chapter on explaining the union of the results of the hundred syllables is an explanation of acting for the benefit of the completely pure beings to be tamed. This chapter, however, is acting for the benefit of those who are not completely pure. Because the Bhagavan blessed the qualities of cause and effect, the essence of Samantabhadra Buddha, the characteristic of the hundred syllables, into the form of ཨཾ་(Tibetan, Devanagari: अं, Romanized Sanskrit: aṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: om), therefore, through the order that will appear below, contemplate it in one's heart, in order to accomplish the form of Samantabhadra Buddha. After that, Vajrapani Bodhisattva asked the Bhagavan, saying, "O Lord of Mantras, source of all mantras, this is most wondrous!" and so on. Among these, "Lord of Mantras" and "source of all mantras" refer to the nature of the hundred syllables, as previously explained, possessing qualities and power, so it is very wondrous. And "Lord of Mantras" and "source of all mantras" also refer to the distinctions of those essences previously mentioned. How can one realize it? Where does the Great Sage abide? This refers to the hundred syllables.

It is called "The Chapter of Practicing the Mantra of the Principal Deity." "By what" means that it should be known by practicing and resembling. The nature of practice, such as "initiation in the Mahayana," should be combined with what is said below. "How" means how should one recognize the essence, that is, one should know that it shines like the color of gold, etc., and it should be combined with what is said below. "Where does the Great Hero dwell" means where should the essence be placed, and its place is what is referred to as "essence," etc. The mantras and so on arise from this, how and by what do you tell me, refers to asking the chapter of completely practicing oneself. The method of how ordinary mantras arise from the essence of the hundred-syllable mantra is how it arises, and by what does it arise? The so-called "light arises from the limbs," etc., should be combined with the explanation of the practice of practicing oneself. By what protector is all that for me, please bestow teachings with holy words. It means to please bestow teachings on what was said above. The so-called "holy words" are words of emptiness, the highest among speakers. After praying like this, the Bhagavan, etc., refers to explaining again what was said above. The so-called "Dharma-rich Great Hero" is the distinction of the Bhagavan, which means being able to overcome the Dharma of abandoning and grasping, and the three, body, speech, and mind, are all able to overcome. Proclaiming universally is all the three realms of the world. The words spoken by the all-knowing one are spoken by the Illuminating Bhagavan. That is to say, the words of the all-knowing one spoken by the Bhagavan Vairochana, that is to say, all the world realms. These words are also good. Good, Bodhisattva, etc. The so-called "secret" refers to the nature arising from the mind, which is extremely subtle. The so-called "extremely wonderful" means that by reciting letters with the mind, the body of complete enlightenment, etc., is transformed from thought, so it is extremely wonderful. The so-called "supreme secret of the Buddhas" refers to the meaning of that essence, and the sentient beings who have the nature of conventional truth and have discriminating thoughts, observe by means of recollection, etc., without discriminating thoughts. The supreme secret of the Buddhas, that is why it is said.
