How can one know its characteristics? The mind of arising Bodhi. This refers to the arising of unsurpassed Bodhi from the Bodhicitta of the first bhumi, hence it is called Bodhi arising. The characteristic of the arising of the Bodhi arising mind is to ask about the essence of great merit, which is immeasurable like space, and so on. The supreme wisdom of mind-consciousness is said to arise, which refers to praising the Bhagavan from the aspect of qualities. The Bhagavan is the cause of the supreme mind-consciousness for the world, Shravakas, and Pratyekabuddhas, and the Sambhogakaya arises from the omniscient wisdom, hence it is called wisdom arising. How many great heroes, after completely passing away, are born? This refers to asking how many worldly minds pass away before the Bodhicitta arises. It refers to the arising after one hundred and sixty minds have passed away, not referring to the mind having already arisen, but merely to the arising. O Protector, please explain in detail the characteristics and time of the minds. This refers to asking about the characteristics of those one hundred and sixty minds, such as the mind of desire, the mind of hatred, and so on, and after those one hundred and sixty minds have passed away, after how many kalpas, etc., will the Bodhicitta arise. What is the merit like, and what is the conduct like, refers to asking what the merit is like for someone who has given rise to such a Bodhicitta, and through what kind of conduct can one attain that Bodhicitta. The difference between mind and mind, please explain the Mahayana. This refers to asking about the difference between sentient beings with sharp faculties entering after realizing the selflessness of phenomena, and noble Shravakas, etc., with dull faculties entering after cultivating the eight bhumis, and so on. The mind spoken of here refers to the general Bodhicitta. From then on, Vairochana said, up to also called the first Bodhi, refers to the answer to the questions previously asked by Vajrapani. Son, you, refers to Vajrapani arising from the Dharmadhatu, hence he is the son of the Bhagavan. O Great Ariser

Knowing refers to the nature of the mind's continuum, because from that continuum of mind arises the great wisdom of enlightenment and omniscience. "Good," is said because asking about such a good meaning is itself good, and because it generates the joy of Vajrapani. "The Mahayana abode is supreme," refers to the mind's continuum, which is the most supreme among the three vehicles. "The nature of the mind's continuum," refers to the nature of the mind that possesses such qualities and distinctions, please listen to what I say. "The secret supreme of the Buddhas," refers to such a pure mind, the nature of omniscience and manifest enlightenment, because it is not the realm of ordinary beings, and because it is not shown to those who are not vessels, it is called secret. Conceptions Cannot know everything. This refers to the mind of the nature of emptiness, which is not truly realized through direct perception and inference. "Gather your mind and listen," means to listen without distraction. "Below the person who has transcended one hundred and sixty minds," refers to having transcended the one hundred and sixty worldly minds, realizing the selflessness of phenomena, and practicing with faith on the ground of practice, cultivating the three minds, practicing the perfections, practicing the four means of gathering, transcending the ground of practice with faith, entering the Joyful Ground, entering the ground of wisdom, which refers to having transcended and been born into how many, and is the answer to the question. "Great merit" refers to being born from the cause of great merit such as the perfections. "Essence" refers to the complete absence of inversion, like the essence of sandalwood and red sandalwood, which refers to the most supreme.

It is said that it is to abide in a very pure nature, not stained by the habits of the earth, and thus not controlled by sudden afflictions as they are. "All dharmas are completely unshaken, accomplished by immeasurable wisdom," means that the mind of enlightenment arises from immeasurable wisdom. "Seeing the perfectly complete Buddha" means that it arises from making offerings to the Buddha and Bodhisattvas, and practicing the grounds and perfections, etc. This is the answer to the question, "What is his practice like?" It is also called the first Bodhi, which refers to the mind of enlightenment of the first ground. These are explanations of the cause and nature of the mind of enlightenment. Therefore, Secret Lord, from beginningless samsara, those who are driven to wander separately, from "those" to "thinking," refers to the explanation of the cause of the Bhagavan Vairochana. There are two kinds of causes. Among them, the one hundred and sixty worldly minds, etc., are the taking cause of the cause of Vairochana. The grounds and other perfections are the co-emergent cause. Therefore, there are also two kinds of separate wanderings: knowing and not knowing worldly dharma. Among them, children speak badly, act badly, and think badly. These people do not know their own dharma. Other than that, knowing one's own dharma refers to attaining the noble path. These people are tormented by the three sufferings in samsara, and in order to be liberated from that suffering, they rely on the belief in self and what belongs to self, and perform generosity, etc., hoping for liberation. Being attached to self and what belongs to self, thinking about countless self-grasps, but without investigating what the nature of self is like, attachment arises. These people are children who do not know their own dharma. Those who know their own dharma also rely on the self that they each grasp. Some think that it arises from time, from "is" to "speaking or not speaking." These are the selves that worldly people each grasp. As mentioned before, the nature of self and what belongs to self, these create us, the travelers, and destroy
