That is, it should be completely grasped by these three, and not by anything else. There are four kinds of threads mentioned. From "the five are like the sky," it was previously mentioned in general that there are five-colored threads, and here it is clearly explained what the five colors are. Regarding "holding it in the void, one should also draw the mandala," this refers to the previous mandala, where it was only generally said to "hold the thread directly above the center," without saying where to draw the mandala. Here it is clearly explained that after holding the thread in the void, the mandala should be drawn in that void. Regarding "with the second thread, one should draw the mandala on the ground," this refers to the previous general statement of picking up the second thread and facing east, etc., without saying what kind of mandala to draw. Here it is clearly explained that after drawing in the void, the second thread that was picked up should be used to draw the mandala on the ground. Regarding "the seats of all Buddhas, and also of their heroic sons, are supreme lotus flowers that are pleasing to the mind, praised by the world of Krashi," this means that the seat should be made of white lotus flowers. The so-called "supreme born from the mind" refers to the fact that when explaining the four branches of recitation, it was said that one should visualize a white lotus flower in the heart. Here, because the white lotus flower was not mentioned, the lotus flower born from the mind was mentioned, meaning that the seat should be made like the white lotus flower visualized in the mind. Regarding "the Pratyekabuddha Arhats proclaim that it is in one direction, so know that those are the seats. The petals of the lotus flowers," this means that the seats of those who have the same wisdom direction as the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas should be made on one petal of a white lotus flower. Regarding "for the worldly gods" to "that seat of the one proclaimed as king," this means that the worldly gods such as Brahma, who have the form of a great king, those who have desire, should use a white lotus flower as a seat. Regarding "how the rest should be suitable, it should be considered from the order of the earth," this means that for ordinary attendants in the presence of the lama, a lotus seat like the lama's is not suitable, so how should a seat lower than that be suitable? This refers to the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas.

Furthermore, regarding the seats of the Buddhas and worldly deities mentioned here. These, since they are not mentioned in this mandala, should be understood as being mentioned incidentally. The mention of worldly deities such as Yama in the intermediate mandala should also be understood as being entirely emanated from the body of the Tathagata, and are lotus seats. They are not those of worldly beings. From "It should be known that there are four types of offerings" to "according to the worldly order," the offerings are explained. In general, there are four types of offerings: joining palms, love, compassion, and flowers and incense, etc., and mental offerings. Among them, from the perspective of profound and vast mantras, the offering is that all four of these offerings are used, and mental offerings are also made, and external offerings are also seen. Mantras with objects make external offerings, but because meditation is not disturbed, there are no mental offerings. Love and compassion are diligent offerings, and after making external and internal offerings, love and compassion are generated for sentient beings, and those offerings are dedicated to sentient beings. Among them, the external offerings have already been explained. Now here, the mental offering is to be explained, that is, "The power of joined palms and flower transformation." And so on, among them, "The power of joined palms and flower transformation," means that flowers arise from the joined palms, and with this, offerings are made to the protectors. When explaining this, it is said: "Hand seals and limbs all arise, Bodhicitta nature is well cultivated." It means that when making mental offerings, first, by forming this mudra, as thought, may clouds of offerings arise for the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, then abide in the meditation of emptiness, so that the mind of enlightenment may be manifested. When abiding in meditation in this way, one should also recite the wisdom of the treasury of space in the mind. Then visualize that from that mudra, vast offerings, which will be mentioned below, emerge and fall like rain. After visualizing in this way, by the blessing of the Dharmadhatu, the power of meditation, and the power of mantra, at that time, it rains before the Buddhas.
