If he is made to study the tantras etc. completely, and possesses the characteristics of a master, then the empowerment as a master is performed when both (referring to studying and possessing characteristics) are present. Some people do not understand the tantras etc. before, and have not cultivated the mind of enlightenment, and do not study afterwards, and will not cultivate, therefore they are only allowed to enter the mandala, and in both periods (referring to before and after) they cannot be empowered as a master and practitioner, this means that neither is present. All names are complete. That disciple is the most excellent among the Buddhas. This means that the tantras etc. are also completely understood, and the mind of enlightenment is also cultivated according to the Dharma. Some people enter the mandala in order to increase merit, this also belongs to the ranks of disciples, because empowerments etc. have already been conferred, so here there is no need to confer empowerments etc. from the beginning, this means that all names are complete. Now, starting from "Initially, what should be known", up to "Therefore, all discriminations should be abandoned, all lands should be purified", it explains the purification of the land. The land has two forms, outer and inner, of which the outer purification of the land has already been explained before. Here, the inner purification of the land is explained, which is the so-called "land of the mind". That is to say, purification has been explained before. This means that before, regarding the mind of enlightenment, knowing what one's own mind is like, it is neither color nor shape, from "No matter how you search, you cannot find it" etc., to that state, abandoning all meditative purity and suchness, because it is free from discrimination, therefore the defilement of the mind is pure. After purifying in that way, whether it is an external mandala or an internal mandala, it can be drawn. "That completely purifies" means that the purification of the mind of enlightenment has been explained before, that is, purifying with the mind. "When is it free from faults, fearlessness is the mind" means that, just as the faults of the external land, there are no bones and stones etc., here, if one is free from discriminations etc. and afflictions such as greed etc., demons etc. will not find an opportunity, so it is called fearlessness. Therefore, what is said is pure, free from all faults. That is what it means.

Therefore, it should be understood in this way. From "Thus" to "Discrimination transforms into the cause of suffering," the purification of external lands, if not endowed with Bodhicitta and only practiced with discrimination, is not empowering. Furthermore, there are others, which are different from the above purification, referring to external lands. If a mantra practitioner dwells in discrimination, that is, perceiving the aggregates, elements, and sense bases as real, and purifies the land with this perception, and also perceives faults such as bones as real, and purifies this land, if not endowed with Bodhicitta, it will not become pure. Therefore, the saying "Therefore, completely abandon" and other purifications of external objects, and all that is extensively explained, is also purifying while only dwelling in discrimination. What I have said is to purify this land with Bodhicitta as the priority. Prioritizing Bodhicitta is also when stating the characteristics of the Acharya, saying that the Acharya is proficient in the principles of Prajnaparamita, skilled in distinguishing the three vehicles, etc. Therefore, Bodhicitta should be recognized first. Being proficient in the principles of Prajnaparamita is manifested as being proficient in the nature of emptiness. Being skilled in distinguishing the three vehicles is also manifested as being proficient in emptiness because of being proficient in the distinctions of selflessness of beings and phenomena. All these activities of the mandala are done by the Acharya, therefore, if one wants to purify the land, one should have such an Acharya, not only dwelling in discrimination, but should be endowed with Bodhicitta, in order to harmonize with the minds of sentient beings. The intention of the Bhagavan's extensive explanation of purifying external lands is not understood by those who do not believe. Whoever has not abandoned such discrimination will not become the cause of the Buddha and the Omniscient One.

When entering the mandala, give the aspiration bodhicitta, and purify the land through both. If the aspiration bodhicitta that entered before is not familiar, then when entering the mandala, first give the aspiration bodhicitta, and then let the entering bodhicitta practice. This is to purify the disciples through bodhicitta. The protector is the immovable lord. Again, "by subduing the realms" refers to the protection of the disciples. When the disciples first enter, they are protected, and especially when they are dwelling, they are protected, etc. All of these can be protected by either of these two methods. When will the disciple not waver, through the objects of focus, whenever. At that time, it is completely pure, like the sky without clouds. This is to explain the characteristics of the disciple's purity. That is, when the disciple abides in practice, the samadhi is pure, the discrimination is abandoned, and it is separated from suchness, that is, it does not waver with respect to both good and non-good. After rising from practice, one still performs good deeds such as offerings, but if one does not waver with respect to objects such as desire, then that is the characteristic of purity. Immaculate like the sky means, just as the sky is never collected, its nature is pure, and even if it is covered by sudden clouds, the nature of the sky is still pure, and it will not be destroyed. Similarly, when abiding in samadhi, there is no stain of discrimination with respect to both good and non-good, and when rising from samadhi, even if one performs actions such as offerings, one performs them with the nature of illusion, etc., because one is not contaminated by the stain of thinking that things are real. Blessing is the first, and it is called complete purification. Through the second, in a joyful way, it is not any other. This is to say that when the land was previously completely taken with great compassion, it was purified with the mandala. There, the contemplation of the five Buddhas, etc., was discussed, and the same content is discussed here, and it is explained in order. The land of the mandala, first contemplate the Buddhas and Bhagavad-bhagavats there, and then bless it. After that, take yourself with your mind. After that, protect with mantra.
