In short, it is the characteristic of being accustomed to generosity, the vows of discipline, and meditation, etc. Therefore, the intention is that if one desires to attain the state described above, and in order to increase the attained state, one becomes attached to that state, then one engages in practices such as generosity solely for the purpose of attaining that state, rather than entering into the path that emerges from the prison of samsara, that is, the uncontaminated meditations, samadhi, and samapatti, without experiencing the taste of them. This is what is meant by thinking in this way. Thus, this mind is also to be abandoned by someone who desires liberation, who is accustomed to the path of selflessness of the person, or through becoming accustomed to the selflessness of phenomena and the person. Therefore, after explaining the one hundred and sixty types of mind in this section, I will explain the teaching of collecting the correct words spoken in the sutras. Apart from these, the actions of transcending from minds such as hatred, and the differentiating actions that will appear below, should also be mostly measured in this way. What is the difference between these? That is what is to be said here: "To universally practice Dharma with hatred" means that with the thought of killing the enemy, one performs recitations, fire offerings, generosity, and the characteristics of discipline, etc. This is the intention. "To universally practice Dharma without examination" refers to the fact that one does not examine the visible and invisible results of the characteristics of Dharma such as generosity and discipline, but enters like a herd of cows. This is its synonym. Therefore, for the sake of easy understanding, I will understand without differentiating here the words such as "To universally practice Dharma with loving-kindness" and so on, up to the words that reach the mind like an ocean. So, what is the mind that will arise? "Whose mind goes together with whatever conditioning is the only one and the one that is born," means that the mind that arises, which is the same as whatever conditioning, such as attachment, to some object, is the same as the mental factor, and is completely destroyed by the momentary cessation or the continuous cessation, but not attachment, etc.

In order to obtain the continuity of mind that is in accordance with actions, the practice of all virtuous dharmas such as generosity and discipline does not exist. Therefore, in order to explain that these sixty minds, up to the arising of desire and so on, become one hundred and sixty, it is said, "One, two, three, four, five are transformed into two, and the worldly mind is one hundred and sixty, after three kalpas have passed." Therefore, the meaning of the limbs is: one, two, three, four, and five transformed into two, these are one, two, three, four, and five transformed into two. Their function is: by counting the minds of desire and so on as one, two, three, etc., they become one hundred and sixty. Here it says "transformed into two," because it is not a matter of transforming into other two, so these five minds, namely one, two, and three, etc., are clearly made to be transformed into two separately. Therefore, the intention is like this: when the minds of desire and so on continuously focus only on their respective objects, these minds that focus on the objects of desire and so on in the three realms are sixty. When the mind of desire and so on, on the cause of any object, is focused on by any second mind such as hatred, etc., that is appropriate to it, then these sixty minds become thirty continuous minds. As it is said, in the Abhidharma, it is also extensively said, "Whoever is in accordance with the attachment of following, is also in accordance with the affliction of anger." Similarly, when the continuity of the object of any three minds such as desire and so on, is focused on by any third mind among desire, hatred, and ignorance, etc., these sixty minds that are in accordance with desire and so on become twenty continuous minds. When the continuity of the object of any three minds such as desire and so on,

When any of the fourth of these sixty minds, such as desire, takes pleasure as its object, these sixty minds themselves become the fifteen constant minds that are similar to desire and so on. When the continuum of objects of the three realms, in whatever way, becomes the object of the desire and other minds, when any of the fifth of these sixty minds takes it as its object, then these sixty minds become the twelve constant minds. This is to add up the numbers one, two, three, four, and five, each multiplied by two. Among them, when the objects of the three realms are individually taken as objects by each of the minds of desire and so on, these minds are sixty, as mentioned above, so they are not counted again. When the object of the minds of desire and so on is taken as an object by two minds, if calculated by the number multiplied by two as before, it will only become thirty, so it is not counted again. Therefore, multiplying one by two is not to be counted because it has already been calculated above. Similarly, multiplying two by two will also become four constant minds, and this has already been counted as four above, so it is not counted again. If the previously uncalculated three is multiplied by two, it will become sixty. Therefore, the meaning is this: When the continuum of one object is taken as an object by six minds, know that these sixty minds will become sixty constant minds. Similarly, if the previously mentioned four is multiplied by two, it will become eight. Thus, these sixty minds of desire and so on, possessing the number eight, will become seven constant minds. Here, the one constant mind possessing the number four, because it has already been counted as four constant minds above, is not counted again. Similarly, if these minds of desire and so on are multiplied by the previously mentioned five,
