as spoken in between. Therefore, in this way, those who develop pride in self and others, who are accustomed to giving and discipline, gradually regard the worldly path, such as Vishnu, the Great God, and Brahma, as guides, and who pledge to join their teachings, should understand the meaning of the treatises of those who have joined their teachings. By the path closely shown by them, they develop closeness to the singular alone, and think that the bonds of self, karma, and afflictions are born together, and that the singular thing that is free from sudden events is the singular alone. Therefore, for the liberation of the nature of the singular alone, all these unreal cities are non-existent, and they think that the singular self is only a tiny and unclear part, like one millionth of a hair tip. Therefore, because they cling to self, they realize that all dharmas are only emptiness, so they say that this is not the sacred path, and they point out that this is also the side to be abandoned. The Secret Lord also recognizes the difference, as it is said: The difference that is fully proclaimed, and those who exist particularly from those differences, generate understanding of the meaning of the singular alone, and there is also existence in that, thus thinking of emptiness alone as real. Such as this, and what is said in between, such as "Whoever does not understand emptiness, does not understand nirvana." Therefore, through this sequence, the virtuous friend is also correctly indicated, and through reason and scriptures, and the wisdom arising from hearing and thinking, it is determined that the worldly path is not the path to liberation, and thus one relies on the virtuous friend who shows the path beyond the world. After that, one draws near and strives to practice the path beyond the world in order to attain liberation. This path is also considered to be the path of liberation of the nature of attaining the state of the Great Vairocana Buddha. Entering this path, also because of the difference between the dull and sharp faculties of beings, through realizing the selflessness of the person, and through the path of realizing the selflessness of both person and phenomena.
