Having gathered various vajras, invite the noble ones, and after seating them with the four mudras, offer the water for washing and other offerings in the proper manner. As it says in the tantra: 'If you write down the ritual, and invite many deities, with the mantra mudras of those who know mantras, and also know how to offer argha, in short, after making offerings, to the empowerment of the deities' union.' So it is said. Then, after blessing the tormas in the proper manner, offer the tormas to those who have vows, and recite: 'May the obscurations of so-and-so be purified, and I pray that you help me to accomplish the benefit of beings.' After dedicating the torma to all beings in general, recite: 'May the debts of so-and-so be purified, and may it become a collection of merit,' and then give it away. If there is another mantra practitioner, then add the essence of the five families and the name of the deceased to the five vases, recite a little, and then recite as many mantras as possible to purify the lower realms. If there is no one else, then recite as many mantras as you can to purify the lower realms into one vase yourself. Then, consecrate the firewood with the mantra for purifying the lower realms and pile it up. Consecrate the corpse many times with the mantra for purifying the lower realms, recite and scatter it on sand or mustard seeds, and then wash it properly with the water of the vase, and apply camphor and saffron and other fragrances to the corpse after consecrating them with the mantra for purifying the lower realms. Write the eighteen mantras in saffron in the proper manner, and apply them to the forehead, the space between the eyebrows, the two ears, the crown of the head, the two shoulders, the nose, the waist, the two knees, the two ankles, the two shins, the two eyes, and the secret places. Similarly, visualize the mantras in your mind, and contemplate that their rays of light purify the obscurations. Bind the mudra for purifying the lower realms, and recite the mantra called Sarvavid (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思), and attach it to the heart, throat, and crown of the head, and contemplate that the habitual tendencies of body, speech, and mind are purified. Then, cover the corpse with clothes consecrated with the mantra for purifying the lower realms, adorn it with ornaments, put on garlands of flowers, and also fumigate it with incense consecrated with mantras, and place it in the center of the hearth with a cushion, facing west, and face yourself to the east.

It should be done that way. Moreover, it says in the tantra: The wood that has been blessed with one's own mantra should be placed in the hole. After the ashes have also been blessed with the mantra, they should be washed with excellent water and anointed with the fragrance of recitation. After being covered with clothes and ornaments, it should be fumigated with incense that has been blessed with the mantra. Offer with flower garlands and so on. At the heart, armpit, and crown of the head, bless with Sarva-vid (Sanskrit: Sarva-vid, all-knowing). In this way, mantras that are inauspicious at other times become the most auspicious. Then, in order to purify the lower realms, together with the seat, place it in the center. It should be done that way. Thus it is said. Then, with water that has been recited with Vajra Dharma, cleanse the surroundings of the hearth and all the utensils. In order to make the images and so on appear, sit on a cushion of auspicious grass in the auspicious lotus posture. Clearly visualize yourself as the yoga of the deity. Take the fire from a permanent fire, or from a house that enjoys asceticism, purify it with water that has been recited with Vajra Dharma, and place it in the hearth. Recite the essence of various activities and ignite the fire with the wind of the bellows. Then, place the syllable Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ།) in your heart. Clearly visualize the yoga and make the mudra of the Vajra Fire Vow, that is, the Vajra Binding and the Vajra Knot. Recite the vow mantra: Oṃ Vajra Anala Mahābhūta Jvālaya Bhasmi Kuru Sarva Duṣṭān Hūṃ Phaṭ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ཨ་ན་ལ་མ་ཧཱ་བྷཱུ་ཏ་ཛྭཱ་ལ་ཡ། བྷསྨི་ཀུ་རུ་སརྦ་དུཥྚཱན་ཧཱུཾ་ཕཊ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ वज्र अनल महाभूत ज्वालय भस्मि कुरु सर्व दुष्टान् हुं फट्, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ vajra anala mahābhūta jvālaya bhasmi kuru sarva duṣṭān hūṃ phaṭ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om, Vajra, Fire, Great, Element, Flame, Burn, Do, All, Evil Ones, Hum, Phat). After reciting, visualize yourself as the form of Vajra Fire Mother: slender and radiant, holding a rosary in the right hand, holding a skull cup in the left hand, with a yellow topknot, fair and oily complexion, surrounded by a thousand flames, blazing with light. Then bless the offerings and bathing water with mantras, and offer three ladles of ghee with a ladle that corresponds to peacefulness. Then burn two pieces of sandalwood mixed with ghee, or with sesame oil, high-quality barley flour, with the ring finger, thumb, and middle finger, or offer three burnt offerings with a ladle. Then wash your hands and mouth with offerings and bathing water, perform cleansing and offer torma, and recite: Great sage, please abide in the state of burning, and please remain here until I perform the fire puja as I wish. After saying this, visualize the form of the fire god as the nature of the burning flame. It says in the tantra
