Around the outside of the mandala, contemplate the sequence of wheels, the sequence of lotuses, and the sequence of vajras. Outside of that, contemplate the vajra net, and make the ground itself of vajra nature. Meditate on it with a chain of blazing light, and dispel obstacles. Bind the doors with the mantra of Vairochana and the vajra fist. There, The earth goddess arising from the letter LAM, with a yellow body, holding a vase in her hand, endowed with all ornaments, is invited with the vajra hook mudra. Perform the hooking and so on, and prepare with this verse: Savior of all Buddhas, The manner and distinction of conduct, On earth and the perfections, Goddess, you are in control. Shakya Lion, the savior, How he destroyed the army of demons, Likewise, may I from the demons, Achieve victory and draw the mandala. Say this three times. After making offerings, say to the earth goddess, "With a joyful radiance, do likewise," and cause her to dissolve below. Then, hold the ground with the vajra binding mudra and this mantra. From the mind of Bodhichitta and one mind, I do not possess, I am pure, In the lineage of the Tathagatas, Today I am born, there is no doubt. Today I am a noble sun, I give unsurpassed Dharma, Inviting all the Buddhas, Today we are gathered.
