It is to eliminate harm. Why is that? Because my ordinary flesh is considered pleasing by sisters, friends, and so on. Killing sentient beings, in order to nourish the essence of food. Moreover, because I will also be driven by harmful thoughts and partiality due to attachment to taste, in order to prevent the arising of joy and other such thoughts. By the order of destroying conceptual thoughts, in the world, those that people do not enjoy and despise, which are always plentiful, do not require prices, and do not harm the lives of sentient beings, those meats can be eaten. Moreover, in any case, one should reduce attachment to worldly things, because what is base and despised, if it is not an object of attachment, desire will not arise. This is well said. In the Vinaya Pitaka, the Blessed One also said that monks should generate the perception of bones in rice gruel, the perception of their own blood in vegetables, the perception of phlegm in tree leaves, and the perception of a human skull in the begging bowl. In order to serve the Sugata and to prevent diarrhea, one should eat. Moreover, in any case, one should destroy conceptual thoughts. There are two types of this. One is in the state of realization of one's own nature, realizing all equality with the nature of abandoning conceptual thoughts of things and conceptual thoughts of characteristics, in order to truly show as a sign of being separated from the eight worldly dharmas such as good and bad, delicious and ugly, lovely and unlovely, pleasant and unpleasant, happiness and suffering. The other is with the nature of thinking inwardly, first visualizing as a small dot, then visualizing as the size of an arura fruit, and if one eats in these and other sequential orders, due to long-term habituation, conceptual thoughts will gradually decrease, this is in the stage of learning. Therefore, there is no contradiction in relying on the flesh of humans and so on, and it is in accordance. In the Lankavatara Sutra and so on, the prohibition of all meat is to subdue rakshasas and others who take the lives of sentient beings. Meat eaters have no wisdom or compassion. Completely

Turning one's back on responsibilities, etc., many faults of eating meat are mentioned. As stated in the Sutra section, Nirvana, etc., and in the explanations of the Bodhisattva vows, it is also essential to require that the lives of sentient beings not be harmed, and it is forbidden because of the fear of diminishing Bodhicitta, it should be understood. It is not that it is not allowed in any case, because it is said in the Vinaya and so on that monks should eat meat, fish, meat sauce, rice and hot porridge, etc. Regarding alcohol, most of the Mahayana tantras say that it is the substance of vows, but it is clearly forbidden in this treatise. That is also said when speaking of vows: "It is the root of all sins, and one should not drink alcohol." Therefore. Living in cemeteries and other places is to reduce attachment, to remember impermanence, and to generate diligence in the sacred Dharma. In the Vinaya and so on, the Blessed One also said to the monks: "Go to the cemetery and look at the skeleton, it will become such a form, for its nature, do not generate attachment." Therefore, renunciation and tantra are not contradictory. Also, here bone ornaments, etc., are signs of abandoning conceptual thoughts from the ultimate truth, and from the conventional truth, they are signs of showing impermanence, so there is no contradiction. Nakedness is also to show the sign of abandoning defilements and other obstacles, so one should not be afraid, nor should one feel ashamed. So, some people say that in the tantras, it is different because of the universal use of power. That is the nature of not understanding. The Blessed One said in the Vajra Garland Tantra: "Individual liberation and Bodhicitta, with the tantra's own precepts, rely on the path of liberation." Therefore, it should be known that it is a precept, and it should not be thought that power indicates another unreasonable Dharma. It should be known that all three are power, one is because of exercising power over the well-spoken Dharma—the Vinaya, one is because of exercising power over the Bodhisattva's Dharma, and one is because of the mantra.
