That is why it is said. Therefore, even if one is not skillful in means, one should refrain from killing, because permission is given to those who are skillful in means. This is as it is said in the thirty-third chapter of the Abhisamayalankara: "Here, Bodhisattvas should refrain from killing, until they see someone harming the Three Jewels. Similarly, to avoid taking what is not given, until they see misers. Similarly, one should not enjoy another's wife out of desire, until one gives treasures, etc." All these foundations of training, etc., should also be widely observed elsewhere. Furthermore, here, actions of body, speech, and mind arising from gain, etc., are themselves unwholesome, because they give rise to undesirable results. Regarding this, its own nature is not taught, and whatever arises from the thought of benefiting others is the very nature of the Bodhisattva's training, because it leads to the unsurpassed result. Furthermore, Bodhisattvas' enjoyment through their own conduct does not become faulty, as it is said in the Seven Hundred Prajna Paramita: "Having understood the Dharma and qualities, the prophecy of Bodhi is known, he possesses morality, wealth, and Dharma. Whoever reviles the Dharma and Bodhi, qualities, he is said to be a chief transgressor of morality." Therefore, and also in the Great Sutra of the Holy Inexhaustible Intelligence, it is said that those who possess skillful means should not disparage all things. Here, although enjoying objects such as form is the same as one's own thoughts, it should be distinguished as having faulty and faultless results. With the thought of afflictions, one enjoys the objects of afflictions; without afflictions, one enjoys without afflictions. This is also of three kinds: corresponding to worldly results, corresponding to the results of self-pacification, and corresponding to unsurpassed results. Among these, the first corresponds to the heavenly realms, etc.

To obtain worldly fruits, one should remember the definite arising of offering to gods and the like. The second is to individually examine forms and the like with the aspect of definite arising for the sake of the enlightenment of Hearers and the like. As it is said in the Sutra of Perfect Correspondence: "Bhikkhus, here, when one sees forms with the eye, one should not focus on those forms, but should abide in impermanence and so on, and should not focus on forms and the like." The third is four aspects: meditating on liberation through the power of aspiration, meditating by individually examining only suchness, meditating by focusing only on selflessness, and meditating on the profound and vast. The first of these is to follow after forms and the like that appear and are experienced in this way, and to manifestly cultivate the mind that benefits all beings. As it is said in the Sutra of Pure Conduct: "Bodhisattvas, in any place where they do not see pleasing forms, should generate the thought that all sentient beings may obtain the supreme form of the Tathagata. In any place where they see displeasing forms, they should generate the thought that all sentient beings may be liberated from the suffering of such samsara. In any place where they see neutral forms, they should generate the thought that all sentient beings may become equal in mind." Thus, it is extensively taught. Similarly, in the Ornament of Sutras, it is said: "Whatever the various objects of the senses may be, in that way, in that way, with wisdom, one attains the state of equality, manifestly acting for the benefit of sentient beings, and the nature of compassion enters into the object of experience." Therefore. The second is to contemplate the realm of sentient beings with compassion, and to remember to individually examine selflessness, thereby enjoying all objects. Furthermore, in the Twenty-Five Thousand Verse Perfection of Wisdom Sutra, it is said, "Son of good family, in order to create obstacles for the Dharma-speaking bhikkhu, the evil demon will use the power of pleasing forms, sounds, smells, tastes, and tactile objects."

Therefore, it is extensively stated that one should destroy with skillful wisdom and fully enjoy. Therefore, contemplating reality is the antidote to all faults. Wherever undesirable actions arise, they are exhausted by individually examining reality, because it obstructs the ability to produce undesirable results. How can there be afflictions and karmic obscurations for one who fully knows form and so on with the nature of individual examination? Because actions and afflictions arising from the distinction of a reversed mind contradict the individual examination of selflessness, they cannot arise simultaneously. As the Ornament of the Sutras says: "Whoever does not desire the world to appear as many, desire is what the person sees as attachment, with that variety one dwells and transforms in samsara, therefore one desires to subdue the Bodhisattva." This is what it means. Third, focusing on selflessness alone is the antidote to excessive attachment to the ordinary nature of form and so on. Therefore, passing from higher to higher, it is the cause of abiding in the state of perfect and complete enlightenment, and in the manner of perfect and complete enlightenment, one experiences form and so on with pride. Some say that if this is the case, then that person will definitely appear after a long time, so it is not the nature of perfect and complete enlightenment in the ultimate sense. If that is the case, then ordinary enjoyment will also not exist, because there is no person or anything like that in reality. How does one see form and so on as objects with excessive attachment? And it has already been said that there is no form and so on in reality. Therefore, excessive attachment is not dependent on reality, and in some cases, the undesirable result arises from the power of non-virtue. In other cases, practicing for the sake of the supreme person is seen in the teachings of the pure Bhagavan. Therefore, even by its name alone, one should have the pride of a Buddha, now it is the cause of unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment, the Bhagavan.
