For the sake of perpetual protection, the nāgas and nāga daughters always hold utpalas. Therefore, the utpala mudra is said to be common to all nāgas. The third mudra is to cross the two index fingers and make them like teeth in front of the mouth, and the two little fingers are also made like teeth below. This is because yakshas have fierce teeth that kill sentient beings and devour flesh. Therefore, the tooth mudra is said to be common to all yakshas. The fourth mudra is to interlock the fingers of the hands well, and the two thumbs are made like eyes. This is because rākṣasīs always enjoy human skulls. Therefore, the skull fragment mudra is said to be common to all rākṣasas. The fifth mudra is to interlock the ten fingers of the hands of the mātṛs. This is because the mātṛs closely rely on the dharma of sexual union. Therefore, interlocking the ten fingers and holding them to the chest is common to all women. The sixth mudra is to close the fingers of the hands, and then raise the right index finger like a staff. This is because the planets hold jeweled staffs to avert all the fears of the asuras. Therefore, the staff mudra is said to be common to all planets. The seventh mudra is to join the two hands together and touch the tips of the fingers, and then attach the two thumbs to the sides of the index fingers. This is because the stars always attend to their respective lords at the time of service. Therefore, the offering of argha mudra is said to be common to all star goddesses. The eighth mudra is to cross the fingers, bend the middle and little fingers, press the index fingers with the thumbs, and then place them at the mouth. This is because the worldly ḍākinīs drink from skulls filled with blood. Therefore, the mudra of placing a skull at the mouth is said to be common to all ḍākinīs. The ninth mudra is to join the tips of the two ring fingers from that and make them like a tongue. This is because all Vajrayoginīs enjoy fresh heads. Therefore, the mudra of fresh head with tongue is taught. Then, for the common benefit of all, The great mudra will be taught. Or, having made the palms extended.

Or else, the palms should be made into the shape of a lotus. After binding the vajra fist, The syllable Aḥ (ཨཿ, अः, Aḥ, A) should be made into a continuous chain, The syllable Hūṃ (ཧཱུཾ་, हूँ, Hūṃ, 吽) should be raised up. This is the hand gesture of Vajrapani. After binding with the vajra binding, Hūṃ (ཧཱུཾ་, हूँ, Hūṃ, 吽) and Aḥ (ཨཿ, अः, Aḥ, A) should be joined and extended, With the syllable Oṃ (ཨོཾ་, ॐ, Oṃ, 唵) joining the faces, Contemplate the hand gesture appearing. There, bind with the syllable Aḥ (ཨཿ, अः, Aḥ, A), Place the syllable Oṃ (ཨོཾ་, ॐ, Oṃ, 唵) inside, Do the syllable Hūṃ (ཧཱུཾ་, हूँ, Hūṃ, 吽) as before, Do the syllable Traṃ (ཏྲཾ་, त्रं, Traṃ, 怛览) similarly to Hūṃ (ཧཱུཾ་, हूँ, Hūṃ, 吽). This is the hand gesture of Yama, the Lord of Death. After joining the syllable Traṃ (ཏྲཾ་, त्रं, Traṃ, 怛览), A (ཨ་, अ, A, 阿) and Oṃ (ཨོཾ་, ॐ, Oṃ, 唵) should be made into a continuous chain, This remaining joined hand gesture, Should be known as the nectar swirl. After joining to the syllable Traṃ (ཏྲཾ་, त्रं, Traṃ, 怛览), The syllable Hūṃ (ཧཱུཾ་, हूँ, Hūṃ, 吽) is also the same. Thus, the syllable Aḥ (ཨཿ, अः, Aḥ, A) is joined, Make the back like rays of light, That is the hand gesture of Hayagriva, Those are spoken for all activities. As it is said, these are the four great hand gestures and the hand gesture of the Bhagavan Vajrapani. This is because the gods of the Bhagavan serve with respectful offerings, so the hands are extended and made into the shape of a lotus. From that, the two little fingers are made into a continuous chain, the backs of the hands are joined, the tips of the two thumbs are joined, the others are bent, the two index fingers are joined back to back and raised, and held at the heart. The second is the vajra binding, the two index fingers and the two thumbs are joined and raised, the two thumbs are placed on the faces of the index fingers, and the palms are opened.
