spoken. Regarding this, all the Buddhas of the past have spoken, and now it is spoken to make the merits even more excellent. Pacifying the Lord of Death is for the sake of practicing the sacred Dharma, so that as long as the sun and moon remain in the world, one may have life. Destroying untimely death means that in ordinary circumstances, humans and animals, etc., do not reach their lifespan, but due to circumstances such as death, they are made to exist for a long time. This should be understood as the difference between practice and seeking refuge. Knowledge is wisdom. Mantra is what completely protects from all evil destinies. Glory is power, which destroys all the armies of Mara. Greatness means that the accumulation of merits appears vast, therefore it is great. "Have you heard?" should be understood as arousing interest in entering. Thereafter, the great gods such as Brahma truly rejoiced, their hairs stood on end, and they prostrated to the Bhagavan Vajrapani. They praised, saying: "Well done! I beseech you, Bhagavan, well done! Well done! Vajradhara, well done! Well done!" In order to prolong the lives of short-lived beings, and to liberate them from the dangers of untimely death, and to liberate them from untimely death, and to liberate those born in evil destinies from all causes of evil destinies, and to easily turn away from samsara those beings who are frightened by the fear of samsara, and to quickly attain the unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment, for these reasons, please explain the power of great glory and the great power mantra. Etc., the gods such as Brahma, in order to perfect the benefit of themselves and others, truly enter the sacred Dharma, and truly rejoice at this, their hairs stand on end, which is the arising of joy in the Dharma of the result. After prostrating, the four verses of "Well done!" are a true praise of the four kinds of result Dharma. "For what reason?" has two aspects, namely, the Tathagatas'

For the sake of declaring the vows, and for the sake of causing sentient beings to manifestly realize perfect enlightenment, this is stating the cause or reason. What is meant by prolonging the lives of those who are short-lived refers to those who follow the practice. To liberate those threatened by the Lord of Death before their time refers to those who seek refuge, who are definitely those such as Brahma who act as the cause of their actions. What is meant by causing those who are to be born in the lower realms to be completely liberated from the stream of the lower realms, although only the past tense is mentioned here, it should be understood as implicitly referring to all three times, future and present. Because it is spoken with ordinary sentient beings in mind, it should be spoken as the perfection of benefiting others. What is meant by causing sentient beings who are afraid of samsara to easily turn their backs on samsara and quickly manifest unsurpassable, perfectly complete enlightenment, is spoken with those special sentient beings who have entered the path in mind, and this should be understood as the perfection of benefiting oneself. Please explain the power of great glory and the great power of the vidya mantra, the power of great glory is because the secret mantra and vidya mantras of the Tathagatas can completely destroy all afflictions and the hosts of demons. What is meant by the vidya mantra of great power, here power is said to be experience, experience is the non-dual wisdom, which is free from all conceptual thoughts, and is the manifestation of the body of great bliss. To this, if someone says, what is experience? Because it is feeling, it is conceptual thought, then, the non-dual wisdom is free from all conceptual thoughts, is this statement not contradictory? It is not so, because just as in the world, if one transcends the previous state, one will obtain another state, and it is said that this is experienced from here. Similarly, here also, feelings such as happiness are experienced, and there is no conceptual thought such as this is happiness, I have happiness, because one has transcended the previous Dharma of samsara, and afterwards there is no
