On eight (offerings), write the names of Ananta and others well on the lotus, decorate them well with silk and ornaments, and place them filled with fragrance and so on. Furthermore, in order to offer to the Sugatas together with their retinue, place food, incense, flowers, garlands, light, fragrance, jewels, and so on. Similarly, for the Naga kings, prepare offerings and pillows for them to dwell near. For their retinues, place eight tormas filled with butter, milk, honey, molasses, sugar, calamus, fruits, and so on. Likewise, all these places should be pervaded with garlands of flowers, the fragrance of incense, and fragrance, and so on. Since substances such as meat and alcohol will break the vows, do not even approach these places. Then, "Vajra nature dwells," and so on, is for empowerment. First, purify oneself with bathing and so on, make the Vajradhara mudra mentioned above, and wear a garland of flowers. By radiating light from one's own seed syllable, invite the Bhagavan together with his retinue, and perform the hooking and so on with the yoga of the vajra hook and so on. Make them non-dual, and make them dwell near with foot washing and so on. Similarly, invite the Naga kings as well, and make them non-dual with the snake-head mudra and the mantra "Om Phut." This is done through the samadhi of the underground. Then, after offering well with offerings, tormas, medicine, and so on, having received empowerment and permission from the Bhagavan himself, empower the disciples by having them hold flowers and so on, covering their eyes with red cloth, and inserting (the flowers) with "Om Vajra Sarva Naga Samaye Hum." Then, throw the flowers with "Om Naga Pratitsa Phu." Then, tie the flower that falls on someone's head, and show it to the Bhagavan and the Naga kings in order. Then, to perform the empowerment, make the snake-head mudra, and with each of their yogas, with the water of eight vases, Om Ah

One should confer empowerment with mantras such as "Nanda Kala Sha Abhisincha Phu" (Tibetan: ནན་ཏ་ཀ་ལ་ཤ་ཨ་བྷིཥིཉྩ་ཕུཿ). Then, again, bind the snake-head mudra, contemplate eight syllables on the eight bindus of the heart, and confer empowerment with mantras such as "Om Ananta Bisha Hanaya Phu" (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ཨ་ནན་ཏ་བི་ཤ་ཧ་ན་ཡ་ཕུཿ). Then, bless the crest of peacock feathers into a vajra with the essence mantra of the Bhagavan Vajrapani one hundred and eight times. Empower with the mudra and mantra mentioned above, this is definitely something to be done in order to abide by the samaya and stabilize the nagas. Then, auspicious substances are permissible here, except for empowerments such as the wheel, for the sake of universal accomplishment of activities. Then, merely by uttering the name, the nagas accomplish all those things. This is because the person who enters the mandala of the nagas sees the nagas as the form of the Bhagavan Vajrapani, so it is uncertain. For one's own activities, merely uttering the names of the nagas, by commanding, one can accomplish all activities, and all meanings and needs will be accomplished, this is certain. Then, all of them are satisfied, prostrate to the Bhagavan, sit before the Bhagavan with palms joined, and thereby strictly uphold the vows. "Bhagavan, we are exceedingly delighted in the teachings of the Bhagavan, and if we deceive those who have entered this mandala and received empowerment, then at that time it will be as if we have deceived the Bhagavan. And at that time, may our abode be burned by gravel, may the all-burning vajra shatter our heads. We will always, at all times, protect, rescue, and conceal that great being. We will generate great blessings, power, and diligence, and make all of their poisons non-poisonous. We will cause rain to fall at the proper times, and for all other countries, we will cause poison, hail, and untimely rain to fall. We will completely destroy all fears. We will accomplish the command of that king and the command of the Vajradhara equally," and so forth, these are the respects paid by the Naga kings to the sacred Dharma and those individuals.

For the sake of offering and reverence, with the Bhagavan Vajrapani as witness, one invokes oneself and vows to uphold the commitment, subduing the poison with the wood of the vow. These are not explained in detail for the sake of easy understanding, and one must pay attention to them. Then the practice is explained: With the white light of the divine substance, visualize Vajradhara, with his head encircled like a snake's head, as the main deity, and recite "P'ut" a million times. Then, for the poison, also visualize the mandala of "P'ut," filling it with a chain of divine light, and also visualize "P'ut" for it. The hand is like a snake's noose, and scatter with the wind of "P'ut." All the poisons in the skin, flesh, and bones, without exception, are guided by the hand of "P'ut." Then perform all actions, and even with a fist, all kinds of poisons and mixtures of poisons can be expelled, so what need is there to mention the snake-head mudra? It is said that here two kinds of practice are spoken of, and one should understand that there are two ways to pacify poison. One is the ritual for the poison of substances. One is to pacify poison through blessing, and in any case, one should truly abide in this practice. With the white light of the divine substance, visualize Vajradhara, with his head encircled like a snake's head, as the main deity, and recite "P'ut" a million times. It is said. Then, first, In the center of one's heart, visualize the syllable (Tibetan: རཾ་, Devanagari: रं, Romanized Sanskrit: raṃ, literal meaning: ram) transforming into a sun disc, and on top of that, visualize the blue syllable (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ་, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, literal meaning: hum). From that transformation, visualize a five-pronged vajra. Again, in its center, visualize (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ་, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, literal meaning: hum), and from the complete transformation of these, visualize oneself as the Bhagavan, glorious Vajrapani, with a blue body, a large belly, hair in the style of Kham covering the upper body, eyes red and protruding, teeth slightly bared. The right hand holds a vajra, the left hand rests on the hip, and the head is adorned with countless collections of white light resembling snake heads. In order to pacify the poison of substances, recite the mantra: Om Namo Vajrapanaye Nirci Sha P'ut. Bisha Nanya Pung. Bishi Hiri P'ut. First, one must recite it a million times. Then, for what kind of substance should one practice? Then, for the poison, also visualize the mandala of "P'ut."
