Due to the power of the practitioner's thoughts, in accordance with the imprints of karma, fierce appearances and so on are seen. Because of past stinginess, obstacles arise from one's own mind. Thus, the verse was spoken. This is the explanation of the seventh mandala. Now, starting with "From then on," and so forth, the mandala in which those fearful ones themselves appear peaceful is shown. "One's own small mandala retinue" refers to the peaceful appearance of what was said earlier, embracing from the neck. Here, the meaning of those has already been stated. "The path of the heavens" refers to the ten virtues. "The path to bliss" refers to the four dhyanas. "The path that is not to the lower realms" refers to the worldly right view. "The path without obscurations" refers to the ordinary path of the accumulation path. "The solitary path" refers to the roots of virtue that are in accordance with the aspect of liberation. "The completely solitary path" refers to the first stage of the path of joining, called heat. "The path of arising" refers to the nature of the peak. "The path of nirvana" refers to becoming patient. "The path of the holy Dharma" refers to the supreme worldly Dharma. "The path of blissful going" refers to the path of seeing and the four formless absorptions. "The path of abandonment" refers to the path of meditation itself. "The path without afflictions" refers to the uninterrupted path, the vajra-like samadhi. "I will show" means through direct and indirect means. Those words are also explained according to how they fit with their own paths, but I have not explained them because I am afraid of the vastness of the scriptures. "I will show the path of the accomplishment of the Buddhas themselves" means, in short, that all those immeasurable paths are applied to the Buddhas. "The Bodhisattva himself is the one who sees the truth here, and his path itself is what accomplishes it, that is, those who cross over to the other shore. I will show" is as before. "The activity of the Vajradhara's accomplishment is the path of empowerment and recitation, and so on, and I will show it as before. So, what is the difference between the Bodhisattva and the Vajradhara? From the gate of the perfections and the secret mantras, there is a difference up to the ten bhumis.

It is said that there are two kinds of divisions. As it is said: Even if the fields of the Buddhas are obtained, they will not be satisfactory. As long as one abides in the ninth ground, the fear of the Lesser Vehicle exists. In this secret great mandala, if the sons of the Buddhas are completely certain, once they gain trust, they will incline towards the Great Vehicle. This is what is said. The ninth ground is without any distinction of paths. The phrase "at all times" means to protect this life from all fears, to protect after birth, and to hide in other instances, in order to prevent the division of day and night. The rest is easy to understand. The explanation of the mandala ritual, the six mandalas of the worldly gods are completed. Now, starting from here, in order to establish the second Amitayus mandala. Then, the Blessed One Vajrapani looked all around his own mandala, and also showed a smile, which are the two signs of proclaiming the Dharma. By that blessing, the retinue of the mandala there shook involuntarily together with the earth. Due to that power, the body also shook violently, and due to that power, their minds also changed due to previous karma, and thus shook completely. That joyful garden also moved in the same order, gradually becoming smaller, larger, and larger and larger. Shook violently. Shook completely violently. The light and rays that were there also burned as in the previous three stages. Burned violently. Burned completely violently. Due to that wonderful power, that retinue gradually rejoiced and so on, and engaged in play and so on. Furthermore, since eighteen great signs appeared in the world, wonderful wonders and so on were mentioned. From then on, and so on, are questions and answers, which are easy to understand. This heart mantra of all the Tathagatas is extracted from the body, speech, and mind vajras, and that is suchness. The term "gone" is spoken in the manner of transposing letters, that is, suchness is proclaimed. As it is said: The supreme group of emptiness speakers proclaims a profound and vast sound. This is what is said. Or, realizing suchness is gone, as it is said: Because even the slightest concept has been abandoned, one's own nature...

There is no place. It is called "Wisdom Self-Awareness." That is called "Tathagata." Thus it is said. "All" means the Bhagavan Amitayus himself. With the assembly and Dharmakaya, with the practice of benefiting beings, all Buddhas are equal, in terms of body, life, lineage, and measure. As it is said, one Buddha is all. "Essence" means that the letters to be spoken are meditated upon in the heart. The mind understands and bestows what is desired in the heart, therefore it is the essence. With the ritual of what is desired in the heart, whatever is desired in the heart will be accomplished. The accomplishment of Samadhi dwells in the heart. Therefore, it is called the essence. Thus it is said. By meditating on that essence, wisdom and so on are generated, therefore that is the Vidyā-mantra. As it is said: "To destroy ignorance, and to accomplish the supreme lineage of speech, there is supreme accomplishment, therefore it is called Vidyā-mantra." Thus it is said. "This" is a particle of speech that leads to the meaning of near dwelling. "Body, Speech, and Mind Vajra" means that the body and so on are inseparable, which is Vajra. What are body, speech, and mind? Because of the reality of being inseparable from emptiness, it is called Vajra. Therefore, all distinctions arise. Thus it is said. "Born" means to be born. Thus, this mantra shows that it arises from the nature of Dharmadhatu, because this place is uncommon to all secret mantras. Thus, it is also said in the Sutra of the Manifestation of Perfect Enlightenment of Vairochana: "The mantras of those who have transcended the world have no initial maker." Thus it is said. And again, that same Sutra says: "Secret Lord, furthermore, the nature of secret mantras is not made by all the Buddhas, nor caused to be made by others, nor rejoiced in. Why is that? This is the Dharma-nature of all Dharmas. Thus, whether the Tathagatas appear or not, the Dharma-nature of all Dharmas is inherently present. Thus, it is the Dharma-nature of the secret mantras of the secret mantras. Secret Lord, at the time when the perfectly enlightened, all-knowing, all-seeing one appears in the world, the Dharma-nature is various
