Now begins the demonstration. Next is "Bhagavan Shakyamuni": because it appears after the context, it is "next". "Bhagavan" refers to the one who has destroyed afflictions and cognitive obscurations with vajra-like samadhi. "Possessed" refers to possessing body and wisdom. "Gone" refers to not abiding in any extreme. "Shakya" refers to the lineage being Shakya, and having subdued Mara Shakya. "Able" refers to being able in body, speech, and mind. The samadhi called "Wisdom Vajra", because true wisdom is indestructible like a vajra, it is the meaning of entering into non-duality. This great mandala is proclaimed. The non-conceptual wisdom of the mind is the center, skillful means of compassion manifesting in various forms for others is the wheel, and being superior to others in view and conduct is the great. "Proclamation" refers to proclaiming the meaning, proclaiming the signs, and that which can represent is the proclamation. The bodhicitta of all Buddhas, Buddha refers to the Buddhas of the ten directions and three times. "Bodhicitta" is of two types: ultimate bodhicitta refers to the unborn nature of reality. Conventional bodhicitta refers to generating great compassion for sentient beings of the three realms. "Realizing the unsurpassed" refers to that bodhicitta, because it has abandoned the extremes of grasping and clinging, it is unsurpassed. Through what is it realized? Through individual self-awareness wisdom, not merely remaining in words, but the meaning that abides in the depths of wisdom. The wisdom spoken by the Buddhas is the Tathagata who has conquered the cycle of afflictions, proclaiming with a Brahma-like voice for the benefit of beings, its meaning is true wisdom, having abandoned the extremes of elaboration, the meaning of being inseparable in the non-conceptual realm. Why is that? Because, this is the proclamation of the heart essence of the mandala, non-conceptual wisdom is the center, skillful means of activity is the wheel, because it has abandoned the faults of conceptualization, it is the wheel. The bodhisattva's own mandala has been explained. Now, in order to realize the root mandala, the image is shown. Why is that? Because, this outer mandala is proclaimed. Now, outer refers to earth, colors, and images.

That is the method of drawing the mandala, which appears as the object of the five senses. Mandala is the central palace, and circle is the wheel with spokes, cloth doors, and corners. This is said in terms of the lower meaning, referring to the mouth possessing the voice of Brahma. Temples and gardens are: Temples are places where there are Dharma halls. Gardens are: places where the ground is flat and various trees grow. Stupas, shrines, pleasure gardens, etc. Stupas are places where there are relics, and shrines are places where there are statues of worldly deities. Pleasure gardens are: said to be places where many people gather to draw. With the ritual of what is as it is. The meaning is: what is as it is is the place as it is, the implements as they are, the painter, the attendant, the patron as they are. The ritual is the land, the ritual of examination, the appearing king, the non-appearing earth goddess, etc. The first is where to do it, to find good land, the second is to gather properly and begin, the third is to have mantra, mudra, and samadhi, and to bless the nature of the five wisdoms as bodhicitta, the fourth is to examine the nature and characteristics of the land, the fifth is to meditate as in the ritual, the sixth is to pray for knowledge as in the ritual and to act according to the Dharma, and to keep samadhi unscattered. Why is that? Because it says: the place must be blessed. Therefore, blessing by abiding in the Dharma nature of wisdom, blessing the mandala of Dharma born from the mind by samadhi as a place, blessing the place of examination of names as the Dharma nature realm, blessing the place of characteristic substances as the dwelling place of the victors of the mandala of colors, there are four kinds. There at the blessed place. This is saying: for example, with alchemy, just as one thousand taels of silver are turned into gold, with the art of wisdom of samadhi, afflictions are completely purified and blessed, and that is what it is called. The outer mandala is to be drawn. This is saying that knowledge appears, the
