Draw the lines of the mandala. The outer mandala is that of Vairochana. The inner mandala is square, with four doors, without stirrups. The outer mandala is adorned with stirrups and all other things. Outside all these mandalas, draw a circle and a large circle. These are the steps for drawing the lines. Then, if the mandala is challenged and obstructed, the ritual for averting these obstacles should be learned from "Stainless Sky." Then begin to apply the colors, taking the paints in the order of colors described in the thread, generating them from these: Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ，hūṃ，seed syllable), Trāṃ (ཏྲཱཾ，trāṃ，seed syllable), Hrīḥ (ཧྲཱིཿ，hrīḥ，seed syllable), Āḥ (ཨཿ，āḥ，seed syllable), Oṃ (ཨོཾ，oṃ，seed syllable). The blazing gaze is this: Eyes that move very quickly, the eyelashes of the eyes, are said to be the blazing gaze. It summons all beings. In order to make many colors, bless with the power of truth, reciting: With the truth by which the Buddhas are pleased with beings, may the paints blaze.
