It is for the sake of accomplishing. Liṅga (लिङ्ग, liṅga, phallus) is the nature of Īśvara, therefore it is neither male nor female. Alternatively, the great elements are known as such, and what is the cause by which they are known as one cause, without duality, that is the connecting word. How the great elements arise and are born, that is how they cause them to arise. The word 'path of nirvāṇa' refers to the afflictions, which are destroyed by the noble path, hence they are Arhats, which is established by the characteristic of definitive meaning. The afflictions of the inner self are exhausted. Bhikṣu is the one who has received full ordination by the words 'come here', as well as by the request and the four karmas. Whoever is free from desire in the three realms is the one who is free from desire. Because he prevents entry into objects, whoever is the one who subdues the senses is just like that. Thus, in the conventional truth, it is the Bhagavan himself, who shows his form in such and such a way. In the ultimate truth, because he is worthy of being offered to by the three realms, he is an Arhat. The Śrāvakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and Bodhisattvas who have exhausted the outflows, this is also said in the Hundred Deeds Sutra. The exhaustion of one's own outflows is due to the exhaustion of the outflows of the Śrāvaka-bodhi and Pratyekabuddha-bodhi, and not merely the exhaustion of the outflows of afflictions, as in being free from desire. Because it is the nature of dependent origination, the afflictions are so extremely subsided, and that is exhaustion. As it is said: If there are some afflictions, which are inherently existent, how can they be abandoned? Who can abandon what exists? If there are some afflictions, which are inherently non-existent, how can they be abandoned? Who can abandon what does not exist? Thus it is said. Furthermore, because he has destroyed the afflictions, he is a Bhikṣu. Because he is attached to saṃsāra and nirvāṇa, he is free from attachment. Because he is in accordance with the aspects of liberation and is under the power of the five faculties such as faith, he is the one who subdues the senses. Because he is free from the afflictions of close attachment and the bad migrations, he has found happiness and obtained fearlessness. Because one's own continuum is free from all afflictions, the continuum of all afflictions is cut off, hence he is cooling. Because he is cooling,
