If we consider it as the nature or essence of wisdom, then in the conventional truth, from the heart of the chief deity of the seven mandalas, reside the seven wisdom beings, namely those with names such as Arapacana, in forms summarized by body color and hand symbols. The location is just that, in terms of meaning and place. If asked what the name is, its own nature is without name. If one seeks the various vast appearances in the conventional world, one cannot find any profound ultimate truth, and that non-dual (state) is called non-dual oneness. If one distinguishes its own nature, it can be divided into profound and vast. If divided into concise and extensive, the concise category has one hundred and eighty-six names, etc. "The meaning is profound, the significance is vast," which will be mentioned below. Why are these two called profound and vast? The reason for applying the name is "great meaning without equal," that is, because (emptiness) is not the same as or without equal to that (emptiness), it is called profound. That (emptiness) appears in the conventional world as the deities of the seven mandalas, and accomplishes the benefit of the ignorant ones, etc., in the seven mandalas, and enters into that (deity) and that (deity)'s mandala, so it accomplishes great benefit, therefore it is called vast. The function of the name is "utterly peaceful," that is, the vast name pacifies the afflictions of sentient beings, while the profound (name) pacifies the knowable. If asked what is supreme, then it will be mentioned below, "beginning, middle, and," that is, initially hearing it brings joy, in the middle thinking about it brings delight, and finally meditating on it obtains great pliancy. Therefore, it is called supreme. If asked what is meant by truly speaking, then the past, etc., will be mentioned below, that is, Dipamkara Buddha, etc., spoke, Maitreya, etc., will speak, and the speech of Shakyamuni Buddha now is also like that, constantly without ceasing. The Buddhas of Sukhavati and the Lotus World utter the same sound, without distracted thoughts, and that (sound) naturally speaks of profound meaning. In the secret instructions, the Vajradharas, etc., constantly sing the Vajra song. Although there is no thought of "speaking," the Dharmadhatu constantly emits its own sound. Therefore, it is called truly speaking. "Great Tantra" refers to the Manjushri Root Tantra, the Illusion Net Tantra, in the six thousand verses, the meaning of the Vajra song sung by the immeasurable great Vajradharas who hold the realization of the meaning of secret mantra, rejoicing in the meaning of their realization.

This is the meaning of requesting to speak about what it is. "Protector" refers to the Buddhas of the three times who have become the protectors of beings, all of whom are not yet complete with two of the thousand Buddhas of the Bhadrakalpa. Among the thousand sons of King Dhrtarastra, the elder is Vajrapani. The younger is Ananda, and those two are the collectors of the Greater and Lesser Vehicles. Ananda is an emanation of Brahma, and he collects the Lesser Vehicle. Vajrapani, from the Great Vehicle down to the Hearers' Vehicle, is certainly the master who holds that secret, so that beings will surely be liberated from suffering, or until I am surely liberated, I will not eavesdrop, and I will hold it with a firm mind without hesitation, therefore I promised. For the sake of benefiting others, also by means of the vastness of the name, the obscuration of afflictions is removed, and by means of the depth of the name, not understanding, that is, because the obscuration of knowledge is completely removed, combining the differences of thought, as appropriate, speak to sentient beings, in this way the Yaksha Secret Lord Vajrapani and his retinue, after requesting the Bhagavan in this way, bowed his body, folded his palms, and remained in front with respect. This is the order of asking questions separately, the first chapter is complete. Then, as before, it is the word of Vajrapani, because the collector here is Vajrapani. If it is thought that it is meaningless because it is the word of the collector, it is not meaningless, because after the request, immediately the Bhagavan again spoke the secret empowerment, which is related to it. The meaning of Bhagavan and Perfect Buddha has already been said. Shakyamuni refers to the able one of the Shakya clan, or the able one of body, speech, and mind, therefore it is called that. Two feet refers to the supreme among the gods and humans. Such a supreme teacher, again spoke the secret empowerment, which is related to it. From this, the speaker is known. Sometimes there are also blessings of other people's tongues to make them preach the Dharma, but here the Bhagavan himself spoke again. The excellent tongue refers to the three turnings of the wheel of Dharma, etc.
