It is the ocean, and the ocean is characterized by being pleasant to enter, having the same taste, being the abode of all precious things, and being the abode of immeasurable sentient beings, in accordance with the Dharma. Similarly, wisdom is like the ocean, which cannot be entered by all, including Hearers, Solitary Realizers, Brahma, Vishnu, and Great Ishvara, has the same taste in emptiness, is the source of all the jewels of the Buddhadharma, is the place where sentient beings of different births, migrations, and lineages turn away from afflictions and attain happiness, is the place of supreme exhalation and growth, and the wisdom that is inseparable from the ocean of wisdom is Manjushri, hence it is called the Ocean of Wisdom. Among them, what is the exhaustion of the accumulation of wisdom of the Bodhisattvas? By what causes and conditions will wisdom be realized, and the Bodhisattvas will truly accomplish those causes and conditions. What is the cause among them? What is the condition? That is, one who is extremely desirous of completely seeking wisdom, constantly relies on, associates with, and serves the virtuous friends who realize wisdom, and relies on the wisdom of the Buddha and does not rely on the wisdom of Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, and has no pride towards those virtuous friends, cherishing them like a guru, cherishing them like a teacher, and those virtuous friends also know that this is a perfect intention, so they accomplish words of increase and words of wisdom. Knowing it to be a vessel, they continuously teach the Dharma that is not external. Having heard this Dharma, he combines it with the accumulation of Dharma, and whoever combines with the accumulation of Dharma is the accumulation of wisdom. Among them, what is it to combine with the accumulation of Dharma? That is, being content with little desire, little activity, little speech, little possessions, not sleeping in the upper or lower part of the night, diligently practicing yoga, understanding the meaning of what is heard, seeking again and again, having no defilement in the mind, and the obscurations
