Those who have precepts without intention, their practice of precepts is not easy for ordinary people to understand; this is called the practice of precepts of a Bodhisattva. What is the practice of patience of a Bodhisattva? The practice of patience of Bodhisattvas is of three kinds. What are the three kinds? They are: patience in accepting suffering, patience in not being angry when harmed by others, and patience in definitely contemplating the Dharma. Accepting suffering is to generate knowledge by regarding karma as the master. Patience in not being angry when harmed by others is to arise with love for all sentient beings as if they were one's only child. Patience in definitely contemplating the Dharma is to arise with the knowledge that all dharmas are unborn; this is called the patience of a Bodhisattva. What is the practice of these patiences? This is called the practice of patience of a Bodhisattva. What is the practice of diligence of a Bodhisattva? Here, a Bodhisattva combines the means to accomplish virtuous dharmas in whatever way and in whatever place with this intention: 'I shall completely accomplish this virtuous dharma for all sentient beings.' This is called the practice of diligence of a Bodhisattva. What is the practice of meditation of a Bodhisattva? A Bodhisattva does not truly see any dharma that is not in meditative equipoise; he sees that all dharmas are naturally in a state of equanimity, peaceful, free from mind, intellect, and consciousness, unborn, unceasing, and unmoving. He does not think, 'I am in meditative equipoise while others are distracted.' He also does not truly see a samadhi that is liberated from self and others, and he does not lose the diligence to truly accomplish enlightenment; this is the practice of meditation of a Bodhisattva. What is the practice of wisdom of a Bodhisattva? Here, a Bodhisattva is liberated from what arises dependently, liberated from emptiness, and liberated from signlessness.

And, one does not truly see the Dharma that is liberated from having no desires and that is liberated from the sky. This is the practice of the wisdom of a Bodhisattva, which does not diminish the path to enlightenment and the diligence to fully ripen sentient beings. So, what is the practice of the means of a Bodhisattva? A Bodhisattva does not fixate on self, but always practices concealing oneself. One does not fixate on sentient beings, but always practices the diligence to fully ripen sentient beings. One does not fixate on afflictions, but always practices subduing the senses. For that, no form that is not the form of a Buddha appears even slightly, but one always desires to see the Buddha. For that, no sound that is not the sound of Dharma appears at all, but one is always never satisfied by listening to the Dharma. One does not fixate on samsara, but always possesses the fear of samsara. One does not truly see nirvana, but also completely gives away all possessions in order to comprehend nirvana. One does not fixate on Buddha and enlightenment, but also manifestly accomplishes hundreds and thousands of aspirations in order to comprehend the enlightenment of the Buddha. This is called the practice of the means of a Bodhisattva. So, what is the practice of the aspiration of a Bodhisattva? Here, a Bodhisattva does not truly see any Dharma decreasing or increasing, but rejoices in all the roots of virtue of all sentient beings, and aspires to unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment. Having made one's own roots of virtue common with all beings, with this, may I manifestly awaken to unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment. May my Buddha-field become like this. May my retinue become perfectly complete like this, and thus one aspires to unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment. That aspiration will also be truly accomplished, and will not fail to be accomplished. His morality is unbroken, undiminished, not misleading, unchanged, praised by the wise.

Protect. Therefore, by abiding in that discipline, the wishes of the mind will be fulfilled, this is called the accomplishment of the aspiration of the Bodhisattva. What is the accomplishment of the power of the Bodhisattva? If someone transforms into the form of the Buddha and comes to the Bodhisattva, wanting to turn him away from the Buddha's Bodhi, wanting to turn away his intention, wanting to separate him, but that Bodhisattva's intention will not turn away. He remembers Bodhi itself, he remembers the essence of Bodhi, he subdues the demons, turns the wheel of Dharma, and manifests great compassion. Any sentient being who wants to turn away the intention of that Bodhisattva, the Bodhisattva will not be angry with that sentient being who wants to turn him away, but will generate great love and great compassion for that sentient being, and will not lose faith, diligence, mindfulness, Samadhi, and the power of wisdom. Therefore, with the power of non-retrogression, he will surely place immeasurable and countless sentient beings in the Bodhi of the Buddha, placing and introducing them, this is called the accomplishment of the power of the Bodhisattva. What is the accomplishment of the wisdom of the Bodhisattva? This Bodhisattva has no birth, no death, and no old age. These are only Dharmas, separated from self and what belongs to self, knowing all Dharmas as they truly are. With that power of wisdom, he places immeasurable and countless sentient beings in that power of wisdom. He cannot transform from the Dharma nature of all sentient beings and establish them in the Dharmas of the world, this is called the accomplishment of the wisdom of the Bodhisattva. These are the ten accomplishments, these are called the ten powers of the Bodhisattva, and other immeasurable and boundless powers also manifest in the Bodhisattva's excellent wisdom in a mature way, therefore he is called the mighty one. The Bodhisattva's ground is like a cloud of Dharma, because he supremely practices Prajnaparamita, therefore it is the ocean of wisdom. It is also like the ocean, therefore it is vast.
