They are different due to the distinctions of realm, aspect, and mode. Among them, the realm of views and the distinctions of views have already been explained. The distinctions of mode have not yet been explained, but will be spoken about now. Among them, entering through the mode of self and what belongs to self is the view of the aggregates of destruction. Entering through the mode of annihilation and permanence is the view of holding to extremes. Entering through the mode of non-existence is wrong view. Entering through the mode of supreme is view of holding to views as supreme. Entering through the mode of purity is holding to ethics and asceticism as supreme. The meaning of subtle increase is the meaning of subtle increase. Or it is following after the continuum of karma and mind, like following after a shadow moving in the sky by moving in water, therefore it is subtle increase. Or it is entering in accordance, like sesame seeds are to sesame oil, therefore it is subtle increase. Or again, it increases by those who have objects in the five aggregates of grasping, therefore it is subtle increase. Why does it increase? It is a term for the meaning of becoming constant by the two, being in accordance with the object. Thus, the seven subtle increases, being different due to the distinctions of realm, mode, and aspect, those become ninety-eight. In the desire realm, there are ten to be abandoned by seeing suffering, namely, view of the aggregates of destruction, view of holding to extremes, wrong view, view of holding to views as supreme, holding to ethics and asceticism as supreme, doubt, desire, anger, pride, and ignorance. There are seven to be abandoned by seeing the origin, namely, those among them except for view of the aggregates of destruction, view of holding to extremes, and holding to ethics and asceticism. There are seven to be abandoned by seeing cessation, namely, those themselves. There are eight to be abandoned by seeing the path, namely, the seven themselves and holding to ethics and asceticism. There are four to be abandoned by cultivation, namely, except for the views and doubt. Thus, those are the thirty-six subtle increases belonging to the desire realm. The realms of form are those themselves, except for the five angers. It is the same in the formless realms, those are ninety-eight. Among them, when those are combined into one, it is eighty.

Eight are to be abandoned by seeing. Ten are to be abandoned by meditation. The suffering of the realms, and the views to be abandoned by seeing the cause, and doubt, and nine, and the ignorance associated with them, and the unmixed ignorance, these are universally pervasive. The rest are called non-universally pervasive. Similarly, cessation and, the wrong views and doubts to be abandoned by seeing the path, and the ignorance associated with them, and the unmixed ignorance, these are focused on the unpolluted, cessation and, the path is the object, and these two are also unpolluted. The rest are focused on the polluted. Among them, those who focus on the polluted are expanded by both the object and the associated. Those who focus on the unpolluted are those who are associated, that is, their own aggregates. Similarly, the cessation of the realms, the wrong views to be abandoned by seeing, and doubt, and the ignorance associated with them, and the mere ignorance, these are focused on the unconditioned. The rest are focused on the conditioned. The order in which they arise is that at first, only with ignorance, sentient beings are ignorant of the truths, and they do not want everything from suffering to the path. Then foolish people hear the two aspects of right and wrong, and doubts arise such as, "Is this suffering? Is this not suffering?" Then, with a doubtful mind, relying on the non-inferior and, relying on false teachings and, false thoughts, it is certain to arise, thinking that there is no giving, etc. Then, from wrong views, the view of the perishable collection arises, and thus, for the five aggregates of the appropriation aggregate, suffering itself is eliminated and manifestly clings to self. From this arises the view of clinging to extremes, because it grasps the two extremes of self-annihilation and permanence. From clinging to extremes arises the holding of morality and asceticism as supreme. Whatever is clinging to extremes, one believes in purity by that very thing. From this also arises the holding of views as supreme. Whatever one believes in purity, one holds as supreme. After that, attachment arises to one's own views. With that very view also
