Whose sins are completely cut off, possessing the excellent intention of great compassion, possessing virtues common to all sentient beings, all sentient beings are like parents, having equanimity towards enemies and friends, like sandalwood and candana, possessing the Dharma that always illuminates all sentient beings, whether inferior, middling, or superior. Difficult for others to fathom, the great enjoyment of a great being, possessing great wisdom and feet, speaking the great Dharma, speaking the great discipline, possessing the marks of a great person, becoming the light of all worlds, for the great yogi, it is the realm of meditation for yogis, possessing the perfect great liberation, great in oneself, possessing the service of great people, possessing the service of special people, seeing, hearing, speaking, and revering are irreversible, not looking to one's own happiness, delighting in pacifying the suffering of others, devoted to the Dharma, possessing the wealth of the Dharma, possessing the food of the Dharma, possessing the medicine of the Dharma, possessing the treasure of the Dharma, possessing the power of the Dharma, the master of the Dharma, the benefactor of the Dharma, always rejoicing in giving, always being mindful, always rejoicing in solitude, always becoming a platform and a bridge in all places, like the great road of a king, like the great sun, like the great Brahma, the vajra holder of great wisdom, exhaling the great Dharma, not being satisfied by looking at the form, not being satisfied by seeing. Thus, remember those Buddhas, the Bhagavat. Thus, remembering them, one strives to accomplish their virtues. Abiding in mindfulness. Initiating diligence. Therefore, it is called remembering the Buddha, this is the bodhisattva's mindfulness of remembering the Buddha. Then, what is the bodhisattva's mindfulness of remembering the Dharma? Here, the bodhisattva thinks thus: those Buddhas, the Bhagavat, possess immeasurable and limitless virtues, they are born from the Dharma, enjoy the share of the Dharma, manifested by the Dharma, are the masters of the Dharma.

Becoming, arising from the Dharma, the realm of Dharma, relying on the Dharma, accomplished by the Dharma. All those names and excellent signs of the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, are also born from the Dharma, obtained by the Dharma, and accomplished by the Dharma. All those ten powers (Sanskrit: daśabala) and four fearlessnesses (Sanskrit: catu-vaiśāradya) of the Tathagatas are also born from the Dharma, obtained by the Dharma, and accomplished by the Dharma. All those eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha (Sanskrit: aṣṭādaśāveṇikabuddhadharma) of the Tathagatas are also born from the Dharma, obtained by the Dharma, and accomplished by the Dharma. All those worldly and transworldly happinesses are also born from the Dharma, obtained by the Dharma, and accomplished by the Dharma. Therefore, since I am seeking the enlightenment of the Buddha, I should make the Dharma the most important. I should make the Dharma my realm, rely on the Dharma, focus on the Dharma, make the Dharma my essence, and practice the Dharma in accordance with the Dharma. This thought is called the mindfulness of the Bodhisattva's recollection of the Dharma, the close placement of mindfulness. Furthermore, the Bodhisattva thinks like this: The Dharma enters equally into all sentient beings, so the Dharma does not enter after seeing the inferior, the middling, and the superior. Therefore, I too should generate a mind that is the same as the Dharma. The Dharma does not fall to any side, the Dharma does not enter after looking at abandonment, therefore, I too should generate a mind that is the same as the Dharma. Seeing that the Dharma has no time limit, is meaningful, and is realized by oneself, the Dharma does not enter after looking at time, therefore, I too should generate a mind that is the same as the Dharma. The Dharma has no high or low, the Dharma does not enter into the vast, nor does it enter into the inferior, therefore, I too should generate a mind that is in accordance with the Dharma. The Dharma has no excellence, inferiority, or defilement, the Dharma does not enter into the pure, nor does it enter into the decaying, therefore, I too should generate a mind that is the same as the Dharma. The Dharma is free from the view of field and non-field, the Dharma does not enter into the noble, nor does it enter into the ordinary person, therefore, I too should generate a mind that is the same as the Dharma. The Dharma enters constantly and without interruption, therefore the Dharma does not enter during the day, it enters during the night.
