Knowing thoroughly and seeing things as they truly are, one becomes disillusioned. Disillusioned! Disillusioned! Through disillusionment, one becomes detached from attachment. Having become detached from attachment, seeing liberation as it truly is, the Bhagavan thus emphasizes the nature of the liberated mind, because of truly seeing it. As it is said: With a body free from sinking, one should establish the feeling of readiness to abide. Like a lamp, one passes into nirvana. His mind is liberated. So it is said. The teacher Kamalashila also said: The mind entangled with desire and so on is samsara; detachment from it is liberation. The stainless mind is liberation. In brief, the Victorious One has taught. In such a manner, the Bhagavan establishes the Hearers and other vehicles. And it should be understood that the Bhagavan is Manjushri himself, because all the Tathagatas are his. Liberation-limb is the limb of liberation; liberation is enlightenment. Its limbs are the seven limbs of enlightenment and the eightfold noble path. As it is said: Mindfulness, the limb of perfect enlightenment; discrimination of dharmas, the limb of perfect enlightenment; diligence, the limb of perfect enlightenment; joy, the limb of perfect enlightenment; tranquility, the limb of perfect enlightenment; samadhi, the limb of perfect enlightenment; equanimity, the limb of perfect enlightenment. These are the limbs of perfect enlightenment and the components of perfect enlightenment; they are the limbs of enlightenment. Other than those antidotes to the obscurations of afflictions, the eightfold noble path, which is the path of cultivation thoroughly practiced for the purpose of destroying the obscurations of knowledge. For example: perfect view, perfect thought, perfect speech, perfect action, perfect livelihood, perfect effort, perfect mindfulness, and perfect samadhi. Thus, these are the limbs of liberation and enlightenment on the path of seeing and the path of cultivation. In some places, the Bhagavan Manjushri is called the liberation-limb. In those two, because that is its very nature.

Rir ro. Liberation is to be freed from the bonds of attachment and so on. It is like this: there are three kinds of bonds: the bond of attachment, the bond of hatred, and the bond of ignorance. Because they are bound by these, they cannot go beyond the three realms, therefore they are bonds. Because it makes liberation, it is called liberation. In this way, the merits are spoken of from the outside, saying, "Liberated from all bonds." Peace is the liberation from the eight places of victory in debate, such as obstruction, and whatever arises in dependence, the nature of the pacification of all phenomena is peace. That is, all the Bhagavan Tathagatas are wisdom warriors, the very nature of the wisdom of emptiness, therefore it is called peace. In this way, the teacher Gītapāda said: Whatever arises in dependence, Without cessation, without arising, Without permanence, without cessation, Not one, not different, Without coming, without going, The pacification of phenomena, practicing peace, The perfect Buddhas have spoken, I prostrate to that noble one. Like that. The very nature of peace is the pacification of all the thoughts of the mind, such as agitation and holding, therefore it is called the very nature of peace. Nirvana is the cessation of sorrow. Well Going to the end of definite departure, To the end of happiness and suffering, to the ultimate, Detachment, the body is the destroyer. That is to say, Nirvana is a general indication, and the remaining verses explain it with the distinction of types. The Garland of Jewels says about the nature of Nirvana: Existence is not Nirvana, How can non-existence be? Holding on to real and unreal, Exhaustion is called no Nirvana. Nirvana is the cessation of sorrow, That is also by the outsiders, Those who cling to that peak. Peace is peace through peace itself, That is for the Shravakas. Well-defined departure is well-defined departure, It is of the Buddhas. Going to the end is the end, Going and changing in various ways, therefore going to the end is the immovable. Those who practice hatred, again from their own way...
