Abiding within. I take refuge in all the Sugatas. The supreme garden of joy for the most excellent wisdom, The form of the wheel that makes the inferior fearful, The pinnacle that subdues the prosperity of existence, I take refuge in the supreme speech, the excellent Dharma. Destroying the poisonous snakes of desire and so forth, The mind of great compassion with expanding wisdom, I beseech refuge in the assembly of ascetics, I prostrate to those who are free from existence. In the very realm of the lord who follows after the cause, By the power of the fruit, may I conquer the hosts of enemies. The supreme root of discriminating awareness and compassion, I hold the correct and perfect enlightenment. For the sake of fully maturing all sentient beings, Or for the sake of protecting them, or for the sake of my own mind, For the sake of purifying it in truth, I give everything, without regard, as the supreme offering. Likewise, ethics, patience, and diligence, Samadhi and unsurpassed wisdom, For the sake of purifying myself and others, I will meditate on this in every single moment. Skilled in the vast mantras of the Sugatas, And the Dharma King, who is always spontaneously accomplished, For the sake of these beings attaining this, I will abide here like the sky. Thus, say it three times. This collection of my virtuous roots, I will completely give everything away. I will generate equanimity towards all sentient beings. Having tamed all sentient beings with all vehicles and all varieties of methods, I will thoroughly establish them in the realm of non-abiding nirvana. Although I lead all sentient beings to complete nirvana, there is not a single sentient being who has attained nirvana. Thus, I will generate the mind of enlightenment. I will realize that all dharmas are unborn. I will train in the six perfections of the non-distracted mind and the mind of omniscient wisdom. I will also realize that I abide in the manner of the One Vehicle. I will train for the sake of individually realizing the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment. I will train in the ten powers, the fearlessnesses, the four kinds of perfect knowledge, and the Buddha.

In order to distinctly understand the unmixed qualities of the earth, I shall strive diligently. Likewise, I shall abide in and accomplish all the immeasurable qualities of the Buddha. This is the mind of enlightenment generated by bodhisattvas, like a vajra, for great enlightenment. It is the father of all tathagatas, the one who acts according to the command of all tathagatas, and the eldest son of all tathagatas. This itself is the Bhagavan Samantabhadra. Just as it is, by the power of virtue perfectly performed, I abide in this mind of enlightenment, and by abiding in the boundless bliss of the conduct of Samantabhadra, I shall ripen all the beings to be tamed by perfectly showing the many distinctions of the power of bliss, and I shall certainly join with the exaltation of great joy. Then, the glorious great goddess offers incense to the disciple's hand, the most pure one offers flowers, the most joyful one offers incense, the seeing one offers lamps, and reciting the mantra called "Vajra Hasa (藏文:བཛྲ་ཧ་ས་,梵文天城体:वज्र हास,梵文罗马拟音:vajra hāsa,汉语字面意思:Vajra Laughing)", the toothpick made of Ashvattha tree, anointed with fragrance and bound with flowers, protected by the supreme mudra, and the fresh kusha grass, reciting the mantra called "Vajra Tiksha Vajra Sharp)", should be given to the disciple. Then, on the left arm, the protective thread with three knots, reciting this mantra called "Om Vajra Raksha Hum (藏文:ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ར་ཀྵ་ཧཾ་,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ vajra rakṣa huṃ,汉语字面意思:Om Vajra Protect Hum)", should be properly tied by oneself. Then, reciting the mantra with knots called "Om Buddha Maitri Vajra Raksha Hum (藏文:ཨོཾ་བུདྡྷ་མཻ་ཏྲི་བཛྲ་རཀྵ་ཧཾ་,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ buddha maitri vajra rakṣa huṃ,汉语字面意思:Om Buddha Loving-kindness Vajra Protect Hum)", one should be armed with the armor of loving-kindness. The mudra for that is this: the two vajra fists are bound, the knots of the two index fingers, if one puts on armor for oneself or others, it will become the protector of the owner. Om Vajra Sattva Crown Hum Phat)" is placed on the crown of the disciple's head. Then, the mudra for this is explained: the vajra is bound and sealed, the thumbs are placed together, the tips of the index fingers are covered, it is known as the crown of the bodhisattva. Then, one should say this to the disciple: "Enjoy the good food and prostrate to the tathagatas. Tomorrow you will see the city of the great bodhisattvas."

will be accomplished. This is the ritual for the disciples to remain. After that, make offerings, burn incense, and subdue. Please invite the Bhagavan and retinue to descend. I prostrate to Vajrasattva, the Bhagavan, the King of Vidyas. Since I am loving, loving to the disciples, and also for the sake of making offerings to you, tomorrow I will ask about the mandala. Bhagavan, I am respectful to you, therefore it is appropriate to grant permission. Buddhas, protectors of the world, with compassion, Bodhisattvas, Arhats, and other secret mantra deities, as well as the deities who purify the world, and any powerful spirits, and anyone with divine eyes, beings who delight in the teachings, please consider me. My name is so-and-so, tomorrow I will ask about the name of the auspicious mandala, this name is so-and-so, to the best of my ability, I will ask according to the Dharma, please consider me and the disciples with compassion, please bless all the assemblies in the mandala. Say this three times. This is the ritual for the deities to remain. After that, prostrate to the Bhagavan, praise with the hundred and eight names, with the offering of resources as the preliminary, make offerings and prostrate according to the Dharma, then explain the profound and vast Dharma to the disciples, then have the assembly of disciples lie down at the edge of the Guru's mandala ground. Then at dawn, with bathing as the preliminary, perform the deity yoga, at sunrise, begin to draw the mandala, thus first transforming into Vajra, first only with red, green, blue, yellow, and white threads, each dyed with fragrant spices. Then place them in that order, visualizing from the seed syllables ཧྲཱིཿ་ཨོཾ་ཧཱུཾ་ཏྲཱཾ་ཨ་, the Tathagatas Amitabha, Amoghasiddhi, Akshobhya, Ratnasambhava, and Vairochana, visualize on the threads, visualize Amitabha and others residing in their respective directions, from the heart of their respective seed syllables, radiate their respective threads of radiance.
