Being both great and a protector, hence the Great Protector, is the Dharmadhatu, the nature of the Great Vairocana. The one called Assembly of Sentient Beings is because he abides, holding the form of sentient beings in the world and beyond. Because he possesses this great light, he is the Great Light, because all of space is pervaded by light. The one called Great Light is because he possesses this great light, hence the Great Light, because the light of the Vajra Sun, the sun of wisdom, illuminates all darkness, internal and external. The one called Great Diligence is because he possesses this great diligence, hence the Great Diligence, because the diligence of perfecting the Great Bodhi pervades all. The one called Great Power is because he possesses the greatness of the ten powers of the Tathagata, hence the Great Power.
