For the sake of perfect accomplishment, take this vajra. The reason for saying "Take this vajra" is that this vajra is the essence of all Buddhas. For the sake of perfect accomplishment, that is, for the sake of obtaining and generating the Buddha himself, Vajrasattva, and so on. Therefore, it is said, "Take this vajra," which means to hold it. The so-called "Vajra Adhipati" means to become the master, having abandoned all the afflictions with their habitual tendencies, and having obtained the status of becoming the king of the Dharma of the three realms. The so-called "Tistha Vajra" means to abide in the continuum of the practitioner in the manner of empowerment, which is prior, and is an invitation to the vajra. The so-called "Samaya Stam" means that you are one that all the Tathagatas cannot transgress, therefore abide in the vajra. The so-called "empowerment by the name of the vajra" refers to all of these, such as the flower garland empowerment, the mudra garland empowerment, the vajra empowerment, the lord empowerment, and the name empowerment, all of which are for the purpose of generating the seed of non-retrogression, so it is a common empowerment for those who have taken vows and those who have not taken vows. It is said that there is this difference for those who are suitable for empowerment as a master: those who are suitable for empowerment as a master are to be introduced into the great mandala, and the reality of the mandala, the reality of the deity, and all the activities of the master are to be learned. By just these, empowerment is done through secret empowerment, as stated by the Bhagavan Vajradhara. Among them, the reality of the mandala is like this: the four corners without inequality, are the four gates of mindfulness and sense faculties, through meditation are the four stables, and in samadhi it is declared as a hall. Relying on the face, it is the supreme vajra, the goddesses' offerings are various forms, are all kinds of ornaments, it is the fulfiller of all wishes. The various excellences of the actions of those to be tamed, the supreme sacred Dharma is universally traveling, the various excellences moved by the wind, are banners, streamers, bells making sounds. The mirror is wisdom, always flowers, the limbs of enlightenment are flower garlands, the net...

The half-moon precious apex, perfectly endowed with sun and moon, is complete, inexhaustible bliss, called great bliss, as it is said. The Suchness of the outer mandala. The lines of its inner layers are like an eight-petaled mandala. This is the eightfold liberation, giving bliss through all accomplishments. The Great Vehicle Bodhicitta, by turning the wheel of the Sutra Pitaka, is completely surrounded by Vajra lines. The Vajra wheel is accurately drawn. The mandalas of Vairocana, Akshobhya, Ratnasambhava, Amitabha, and Amoghasiddhi are for the purpose of showing the five methods. Like crystal, lapis lazuli, gold, gold, ruby, and emerald in color, they are round. The central one, which is crystal-like in color, is the mandala of the Bhagavan Vairocana, showing the complete purity of the mind of enlightenment. The second, lapis lazuli in color, is the mandala of Akshobhya, showing the four objects of gathering. The third, golden in color, is the mandala of Ratnasambhava, the Bhagavan Vairocana, showing the accumulation of merit and wisdom. The fourth, ruby in color, is the mandala of Amitabha, showing the great compassion without objectification, Samadhi, Dharani, liberation, and so on. The fifth, emerald in color, is the mandala of Amoghasiddhi, showing the path and fruit of the Bodhisattva that ripens and liberates sentient beings, arising from attainment and being separate from the views of other vehicles. This is the ritual called the mandala, as it is shown. The bright colors show that the Tathagatas establish the sentient beings in the realms with the six perfections. The vase shows when the Bhagavan Tathagatas drink the nectar of non-dual wisdom from all. The full vase shows that this is the complete accumulation of merit and wisdom for attaining enlightenment. It is shown in this way. Where recitation is rightly spoken, there diligence is also rightly [applied].
