Therefore, after performing the initiation and so on, because there is an extensive ritual of descending vows and so on. The extensive ritual of initiation and so on in the mandala of the Vajra Acharya, saying "there is," means "to begin." So, regarding "first," among those initiations and so on, first is a brief explanation of initiation. For what necessity? In all the realms of the world, there is no remaining realm of sentient beings, in order to liberate them from the ten non-virtuous actions, which is to completely protect them. Therefore, worldly happiness and the supreme of transcendent achievements, that itself is the cause, is the necessity. That necessity being completely fulfilled is the result, therefore it is the cause and the result itself. For that, because there is a necessity to enter this great mandala. Because there is a necessity, one should not examine whether one is a vessel for entering this great mandala or not, one should not say "this is a vessel, this is not a vessel," the yogi should pray to all the Tathagatas in this way. As the ritual and so on say, why not do this? What reason is there? Here the reason is stated, that is, "why is that?" and so on. There are also those who commit great sins, meaning doing the five heinous crimes and so on. If one enters and sees, seeing the mandala and entering the mandala, there are two kinds with the difference of outer and inner, secret. The outer seeing, starting from the Vajra Hook, seeing the body of all the deities, is the outer entering. The mudras of the Mind Mother, Vajra Mother, etc., in the colored powder mandala, the wisdom of the mind descends, is the secret seeing and entering. Will be separated from all bad destinies, meaning separated from hells, hungry ghosts, and animals, etc., which are bad destinies. By seeing and entering the mandala, one will be separated from all bad destinies, because they have completely exhausted the karma of going to bad destinies. Bhagavan, wealth, etc., this is the second way of stating the cause.

Therefore, attachment to wealth, food, drink, and all desirable qualities is called wealth, and it includes everything, so it is all wealth. The rule of kings, food with a hundred flavors, etc., are food. Delicious drinks, etc., are drinks. Because it is what is desired, it is desirable, namely form, sound, smell, taste, and touch, which is a synonym for "manifest desire." They are things that are habitual and familiar, so they are merits. Since it is both desirable and a merit, it is the merit of desire. Wealth, etc., food, etc., drink, etc., and the merits of desire, etc., are wealth, food, drink, and all desirable qualities, and attachment to them is clinging. Delight in vows refers to "Do not despise me," etc., because one cannot fully keep the vows, so one does not like and hates them. Previously enjoyed, etc., refers to the inability to enjoy heavy food, vegetables, noodles, and begging for food, etc., the eighteen kinds of food previously enjoyed. In this way, their attachment to these things, wealth, food, drink, and all desirable qualities, doing as they wish, is abiding in a state of no protection. These people also, through entering the mandala and seeing the mandala, create the habits of all the Tathāgatas (Sanskrit: Tathāgata, Romanized Sanskrit: Tathāgata, literal Chinese meaning: Thus Come One), so at other times, all wishes are completely fulfilled. The third reason mentioned is related to entering the mandala of the lineage of other deities. What is the reason? It is mentioned that they like dancing, singing, laughter, games, food, and behavior. Here, games exist through the particularity of dance. These four meanings indicate that the mandalas of the lineages of these other deities are performed through the rituals of dance, etc. Therefore, those who like these will enter them. Similarly, those who enter dance, etc., because they have not realized that it does not contradict the union with no self-nature, have not realized the Great Vehicle of all the Tathāgatas.
