These are the hand seals of the Victorious Ones. It is said that the precious Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hūṃ) activity, as well as the Dharma and Karma Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hūṃ) activity, are the four types of hand seals to be written, as described in the mandala of the dhāraṇī. The four directions of the Bhagavan Vairocana should be placed in those locations. This is what is being taught: the outer mandala should be written as it is, and inside it should be divided into six parts, of which four parts should be used to write the second mandala. The second mandala should also be completed with half its size. To the north, on the garuda seat, above the vajra of power is a trident, and above that is a variegated vajra, surrounded by a mandala of variegated small vajras. "The mandala is thus all supreme, the vajra hand seal should be written." This refers to the central part of the eastern direction of the second mandala, the blazing five-pronged vajra, and similarly, it should be written in the south, west, and north. "In all those directions, the hand seals of the families should be written." This refers to the fact that on the left and right sides of the four directions of the vajra hand seal, the hand seals such as the illusion vajra should be written. "The vajra bull-nose and the other four are the gatekeepers." This refers to the fact that the vajra bull-nose and the vajra garland should not be written on the gate of the inner mandala.
