The so-called examining one's own mind is to believe in one's own mind-nature as it is, without any inversion, as being selfless and without arising or ceasing. The word "etc." refers to the summary of the meanings spoken in the various expedient stages from then on, such as generating Bodhicitta, the letters abiding in the heart as symbols, making it stable, and then combining it with the Great Seal, until all its limbs are completely perfected. The so-called characteristic of equipoise is to focus single-mindedly on the meaning of such a thing. The so-called Abhisambodhi is the characteristic of the means by which all Tathagatas show the way to Buddhahood through the gate of mantra, and the name "Five Abhisambodhis" is given. From this name, one should understand its meaning and thereby accomplish the Tathagata. The so-called self being blessed as the deity is to transform one's own body, speech, and mind into the nature of the manifestation of the Vajra of the body, speech, and mind of the Tathagata through the stages of Abhisambodhi, and to focus on this alone is called blessing. In short, examining one's own mind is equal to equality, and the nature of equality is the perfect and complete enlightenment of the Tathagata. To have faith in this is to abide in equipoise. Then, one should abide in the body of the Tathagata. Thus, it is also said in the great root tantra: The teaching of accomplishing the heart of the great Samaya of the Tathagata refers to the chapter that divides that nature into stages and speaks of it, which is the name of the chapter. Starting from knowing the mind, it means that one must first examine and analyze one's own mind as it is, without any inversion. Meditate on the Vajra Sun, which means that one has examined the nature of the mind in this way and knows that it is not established in any nature. When one realizes this, the wisdom of awakening arises, and the nature of generating Bodhicitta is connected with the nature of skillful means and wisdom, and therefore it is called the sun, and the moon, which is its pair, should also be mentioned, that is, one should meditate on the mandala of either the sun or the moon. Transform oneself into the body of the Buddha.

That is to say, on top of that, one should meditate on oneself as becoming the body of the Buddha, clearly abiding with essence. That is because one has transformed from a sentient being into such a body, and it is called transformation in consideration of the change in characteristics. "Vajradhatu is recited." That is to say, if one wishes to meditate on the great mudra of Vajradhatu, one should say "vajradhatu" (藏文:བཛྲ་དྷཱ་ཏུ་,梵文天城体:वज्रधातु,梵文罗马拟音:vajradhātu,汉语字面意思:金刚界). This is merely what the principal has shown. Recite the essence of whatever else you wish to meditate on in the same way. Meditate completely on the limbs and parts of that body. What is that? It is just this that is said: "Meditate on the Vajra Sun." One should meditate completely on the mudra of the body that is meditated on as the samaya-sattva, and one should contemplate the support of the solar mandala behind, blazing with light. That is what it signifies. Now, if there are many different and dissimilar aspects of examining sentient beings, how should one proceed here? It is said, "The sequence of examining one's own mind, etc., is like this." It is said, and although it is obvious that there are many such methods of examining the mind, here, one should explain those that accord with the meaning spoken in that great root tantra. First, "for a while" is a phrase that holds the occasion of enumerating the sequence of how to proceed. "Gather the mind into one's heart" means to prevent the mind-consciousness, which has many activities, from following after any of the senses and objects. "In the manner of withdrawing the life of the entire body" is as it is said in the tantras of how to proceed: "Life is explained as wind. Effort is called memory." Life is the wind of the characteristics of arising and entering from the eyes, ears, nose, mouth, navel, male and female organs, impure orifices, hair follicles, etc. Restraining that is, in this case, preventing arising and entering. Preventing the arising and entering of wind means contracting the body with the spine by means of the upward-moving wind, in the manner of a leech drinking water.
