Those Bodhisattvas also hold their own attributes, possessing various forms of colors and manifestations, adorned with various ornaments, being the embodiment of compassion, the bodies of these sixteen great Bodhisattvas manifested the great mudra. Subduing all the extremely untamed beings in all realms of the world, from the summit of Mount Meru, within the tiered pavilions, they are seated upon the lunar mandalas in all directions of Vairocana. They skillfully tame the untamed beings such as the great gods. This characteristic, which is extensively taught, can only be understood from that. The word "etc." refers to the mandalas of Dharma and Karma, etc., or it refers to the Dharma mudras, Samaya mudras, and Karma mudras that arise from that context. "With wrath and scattering" means that it is not the nature of abiding as something to be meditated upon in such a wrathful form. Why? Because it is said in the tantra itself: "Alas, I am the one with great skill in taming with skillful means, because through the skillful means of taming sentient beings, I become an immaculate wrathful one." Thus, the Samaya of the Padma family is taught. Having known the nature to be pure, one should meditate on the nature of ultimate truth as emptiness, and thereby know that all things are completely pure. "Do this and that which is necessary" means that one should rise from the conventional and do things such as uniting with the body of the great mudra, and do whatever benefits and brings happiness to beings, and whatever is necessary. To have faith that all dharmas are without characteristics means to have faith in that way from the perspective of scriptural and logical reasons or antidotes. "Having done that first" refers to the nature of ultimate Bodhicitta, the non-conceptual meditation. The Samaya of the Ratna family is taught. "Little or much, it doesn't matter," means to satisfy others through the act of giving, whatever offerings of food and clothing, etc., there may be. "As they wish" means to give as each field wishes. How much is the quantity? In other tantras it is said, six times each day. Thus it is said. Others say

So, do these vows that are taught in this way need to be fully kept when meditating on one essence? Or are they kept in the same way when meditating on one's own essence? The answer is, these are called the five kinds of vows, etc. Previously, two were taught above, and three were taught below. Because there are five categories, it is said that way. Because of believing in the five deities, it is said that way, meaning that the deities are said to be five kinds here, based on that statement, and in accordance with it, the vows are also mainly taught as the five kinds of each. However, since it is also desired to repeat any of those lineages, those five must also be fully protected. Other than the Tathagata, etc., means that the other lineages distinguished from the Tathagata, the various categories of deities as mentioned, although taught in that way, are only the essence of the Tathagata himself. Therefore, all the vows taught for each lineage are also the essence of the Tathagata's vows. Therefore, by repeating the mantras of the Tathagata's path, etc., the practitioner offers his own body to all the Buddhas of the three times, and because of offering the body, they are pleased, and the Buddhas will surely grant it. After promising to do it that way, in order to be in accordance with that meaning, one must enter into practice. That is how it is taught. The objector says, then, since the Tathagatas subdue beings in various ways through the door of knowing the means of subduing beings, why do they only show this way here and not show other means of subduing? The answer is, all the Tathagatas also, etc., it is said that all the Tathagatas of the three times, when practicing the conduct of Bodhisattvas in the past, saw that all these beings were covered by the thick impurity of the two obscurations, and were tormented by the diseases of the three times such as greed arising from those obscurations. Due to compassion, meaning that they thought it was a field of compassion, with a compassionate heart, some beings have the faults of the three times such as greed, and some are inherently evil.
