Then, it is said. All those Mahamudra should be understood as two types, distinguished by outer and inner differences, as it is said. Among them, writings, compositions, carvings, and the like, which are not fully grasped by knowledge, are external. Other than that, the images of the deities that one desires, visualized in the mind of a yogi, are internal. Those should be understood as demonstrating the characteristics of Mahamudra. The characteristics and divisions of Mahamudra have been explained. That is shown as the symbol of the wisdom of the minds of the Tathagatas, and to that, the meaning of the Samaya Mudra should be explained, as it is said. To that, the symbol of the Samaya, the Mudra, the nature of arranging the fingers, is the Samaya Mudra, as it is said. The symbol of that very omniscient wisdom is, the Samaya Mudra is shown as a way or method of binding the hands. The Great Self refers to the Tathagatas. The Mind Secret refers to the wisdom that is endowed with perfect qualities and is free from grasping and being grasped. That is expressed as the sound of Samaya. What is explained in the Tantras is to clearly show what the types and characteristics are like. Among them, the types that are explained are, such as truly attaining, and so on, shown in sequence. Among them, attaining means, Sa-samyak (藏文,梵文天城体:सम्यक,梵文罗马拟音:samyak,汉语字面意思:Complete Truth) is said to be all truth. Ya-a-yang (藏文,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:,汉语字面意思:) is said to be attaining. The fruits of worldly desires, such as forms and sounds, are not true because they bind. All the supreme qualities of the Buddhas of the three times are supreme, and because they are the nature of liberating everything, they are true, and because they enable complete attainment, it is said that way. For the sake of realization, or, Sa-samyagjñana Correct Knowledge), because of realization and comprehension, it is called Samaya, that is, the aspect of a phenomenon comprehended as the nature of reality, or, all knowable things comprehended as wisdom, so it is said that way. For the meaning of non-transgression, Samaya refers to, Sa-sam (藏文,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:saṃ,汉语字面意思:) ya (藏文,梵文天城体:य,梵文罗马拟音:ya,汉语字面意思:) is called Samaya because of the meaning of non-transgression, that is, it should never be transgressed by the yogis who practice, and if it is practiced, it will be accomplished.
