The reason why the methods of practice generally mentioned elsewhere are not mentioned here is that they should be understood from the content contained in the root tantra itself, because here it is considered that there are many words. Then, the meaning of "accomplishment of heart mantra, mudra, secret mantra, and vidya mantra, etc." is that if these are practiced according to the Dharma, they can be accomplished, and signs will appear. Just as the vidya mantra achievers of "how to know the past, present, and future, etc." can know the methods and practices of the three times in a way that is like direct perception, as desired, these will be explained below. Among them, the first refers to the method of practice of knowing the three times by demonstrating the accomplishment of the heart mantra, that is, "after completely reciting the heart mantra." The heart mantra mentioned in this tantra is the heart mantra. That is, reciting the heart mantra of the deity in whom one believes, the method and differences of recitation have already been explained earlier, and should be understood from it. "Self and others" means that one should truly know the minds of oneself and others. "Past, present, and future" means that one should truly know the three times of oneself and others. Therefore, the sentence "then one will know and see" indicates that the sound, behavior, and characteristics of these will appear before the senses. "If the mudra deity is pleased" means that, like reciting the heart mantra, the mudras mentioned in this tantra, whether all or one of them, if they are pleased, and practiced until no signs appear, then the siddhi can be accomplished as mentioned before. "After forming a mudra" means forming the vow mudra of each deity's practice. "After performing four rituals in the mind" means that, how are the characteristics of the behavior of the three times, or as desired, clearly visualize in the mind, through the thought arising in the mind, if you observe the world, you can know as before. Just like when the heart mantra is accomplished, how are the characteristics of the three times, or as desired, it is said that you can know. Secret mantra

“The arising of accomplished wisdom” refers to the ritual for understanding the characteristics of time as before, or as desired, after signs have arisen from the practice of secret mantras. “If a secret mantra is recited once” means that whether one explains the secret mantras mentioned in this tantra, or just a part of them, one practices until signs appear. Once signs have appeared, and one visualizes the characteristics of the three times as they are or as desired, even if one recites the secret mantra only once, one will understand the three times as they are or as desired, and whatever one speaks with one's tongue will become true. Thus it is said. “The order of accomplishing the wisdom of vidyā-mantras” means that whether one practices all or just a part of the vidyā-mantras mentioned in this tantra as they are until signs appear, and one visualizes oneself, others, or the characteristics of the three times, or whatever is desired, in the mind as if they were directly perceived, even if one recites the vidyā-mantra only once, it will reveal the meaning and become clear. As Vajradhara has instructed, it is said, “Like the words of Vajradhara.” The accomplishments arising from the recitation of the four mudras, secret mantras, and vidyā-mantras, encompassed by the words “essence,” etc., have been briefly explained. Whatever of these practices one performs, one should first bathe in order to pacify the thoughts of one's own mind. Then, because one is about to engage in the activity of the practice, one must understand the distinctions of bathing. Although these characteristics have been explained before, it is not reasonable to add to them now. Therefore, here too, one should first wash away the thoughts of one's own mind. Thus, etc., has been said. Just as other tantras mainly emphasize bathing and cleanliness, this tantra, which gathers the essence, also emphasizes that whatever one does, one must first value bathing and cleanliness. The opponent says: Then why are the distinctions of bathing, etc., not explained here? Because the yogi who abides in the yoga of his own deity and always has pure thoughts in his mind does not need external cleanliness, conduct, vows, etc.

Since it is not necessary to do only one thing, this tantra does not actually show the ritual of doing that. Therefore, do not be too attached to those things. This means that one should always focus on one's own deity yoga and concentrate solely on inner practice. Since external bathing is not the most important thing, one should not have too much faith in it. The objector says: Then, what is the need for the various forms of bathing with water, etc., and the many distinctions and sequences that are taught in the tantras? The reason for being attached to bathing, etc., is to conform to such a world and to conform to one's own body. It is said that just as the virtuous people of the world want to please the deity they rely on, and to remove the impurities of their body and speech, and also want to purify their minds, they only emphasize bathing and vows, and they praise others who do so, and consider them virtuous. Those who do not do so are criticized and ridiculed. Therefore, in order to conform to those people, and to eliminate the harm and bad smell of one's own body, there is no fault in bathing. This has already been said before, which means that the necessity and characteristics of bathing have already been explained above. Therefore, this intention is clearly shown in the Vajrasekhara Sutra, which means that external bathing is only for conforming to worldly people and for benefiting one's own body, and there is no fault in not doing it in the ultimate sense. These intentions are not fabricated by oneself, but are clearly shown in the Vajrasekhara Sutra. Abandoning the ten non-virtues, relying on the ten virtues, and thinking of benefiting all sentient beings, this is called inner bathing. And so on, which means completely abandoning the ten non-virtuous deeds that contain faults in the actions of body, speech, and mind, namely the three of the body, the four of speech, and the three of the mind, and completely relying on the ten virtuous deeds that can completely purify the actions of body, speech, and mind, wishing to benefit all sentient beings and not harm them, this is called inner bathing.
