The various conceptual thoughts of the mind can also be truly known, realized, and manifested without any doubt. Why is it seen in this way? Because it is said in the scriptures that the realm of meditators is inconceivable. Because it is said that there are four types of inconceivability, the realm observed by the Samadhi of meditators is inconceivable. Therefore, by the power of the Samadhi that makes their minds capable, they can be truly known. Therefore, here it is said, "One should not examine the reasons." Here, one should not give rise to hesitant conceptual thoughts with a reversed mind, doubting whether it can be accomplished in other ways. Why? Because it is said in the scriptures that the realm of meditators is inconceivable. And doing so is also as it is said in the scriptures: "In the Great Mudra, dwell in equality, abandon the discriminating consciousness of the mind, Whatever sentient being is observed by it, that mind is known by it." Its meaning is like this: The yogi who wishes to know the minds of others dwells in the Samadhi of the Great Mudra, in which body and mind are placed equally. For the beings whose minds one wishes to know, the characteristics of their minds, how they appear to oneself, one observes their Samadhi, making their minds capable, and abiding in the mind. Then the yogi can truly know the minds of those others, and generate the wisdom of realization. Similarly, the yogi who wishes to know the previous lives of oneself and others, that is, the wisdom that wishes to know previous lives. Just as one accomplishes the clairvoyance of knowing the minds of others, oneself and other beings in previous lives, in what place, what lineage, what kind of body were they born, and what kind of actions did they perform? The yogi who wishes to know these things, binds the Great Mudra as previously stated, and with the mind thinks of oneself or the form of others as permanent, etc. One dwells in Samadhi, and with the mind observes the form of oneself or others, and the life, behavior, and actions of oneself and that sentient being before this life or countless eons ago.

And, if one examines with the yoga of meditating on "what kind of lineage one has taken," then that samadhi will be accomplished, and by examining oneself and others with a workable yoga, what need is there to mention that one will only be able to recall past lives? If it is not so, even if it is not accomplished by the power of yoga, one can practice such a one-pointed samadhi, and just as one clearly remembers dreaming at night, one will clearly see what one has become and done in the immediately past previous life, and also in earlier lives, as if one were seeing one's own face and inner experiences. As it is said in the tantra: "Meditate in the great mudra, whether it is oneself or another, even if one sees a form with the mind, from where does life come, where does it go?" The meaning of this is as follows: A yogi who wishes to remember past lives should place his body and mind in the state of the great mudra, and without focusing on the form seen by the mind, he should carefully examine and remember from where the object of his attention in the previous life, whether it is himself or another, came from, or where he will be reborn, and through the power of samadhi, he will see it as it is. The distinction of the supernormal cognition of miraculous powers is that the power of miraculous powers is not limited to one, but one must know various different abilities. For example, it is said that there are distinctions such as being able to walk in the sky, invisibility, and various forms. Walking in the sky means making the sky one's own field of activity and moving freely like a bird. Invisibility means being able to go underground, etc., or even if one's body is present in front of others, others cannot see it. Various forms means being able to show oneself in various forms if there is a need. Obstructed means being blocked by other objects. Unobstructed means not being blocked by other objects. Traveling long distances in the sky means, for example, like shooting a krośa arrow into the sky, without obstruction.

Just as walking quickly, one's self also travels swiftly and far in the sky without hindrance, and transcends the range of others' visual consciousness. The so-called transforming external objects such as mountains and cities into illusions is like showing what does not exist in fertile, mountainless lands; in empty lands, creating illusions of cities and other things. The so-called turning substances such as clay into real objects such as gold means showing a phenomenon where one cause produces different results. For example, transforming lumps of clay, stones, and tiles into gold, silver, copper, iron, and various kinds of jewels, and being able to display them. The so-called being able to make impermanent things stay for many years is like a vidyadhara staying in the sky and growing flowers and fruits in the sky; or like building a palace in the unconditioned sky and staying there for many years. The word "etc." includes turning one into many, turning many into one, igniting fire from emptiness, water flowing from below, traveling on water as on land, traveling on land as on water, traveling on land in water, and unimpeded passage through mountains and rocks, and so on. A yogi who wishes to accomplish and realize such aspects and distinctions of magical powers should, as before, bind the great mudra of the deity and enter into samadhi, manifesting any desired realm of magical power, such as walking in the sky. It is not that one should manifest and practice all these magical powers at once, but rather manifest the one that one wishes to accomplish, such as walking in the sky or invisibility, and meditate for a long time on the aspect of the magical power that one wishes to accomplish, such as walking in the sky, so that the desired magical power will truly arise and be able to be performed. If it has not been accomplished
