Moreover, in the 'Great Discrimination Tantra,' the essence of the Vajrasattva heart essence (Tibetan: སྙིང་པོ་ཧཱུཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) of the Bhagavan, the extensive reasons for believing that recitation accomplishes everything are proclaimed. The so-called great bliss should also be understood here as its nature, because Vajrasattva is the essence of the enlightenment mind of the Transcendent Thus-gone Ones of the three times, abiding in the nature of great bliss. The so-called Vajra Vow also refers to this. Possessing the power to destroy all five wisdom natures, it has the characteristic of not deviating from its state. The so-called 'from the perspective of showing power' refers to the manifestation of the power that has such meaning, which is what is stated in the tantra. Here it says that there is no need to destroy the wheel of non-attachment. The so-called non-attachment refers to those who have wrong views and are free from attachment. Destroying their wheel means refuting their views, but in this tantra, there is no need to refute them, because there is also an explanation for this, so it can be practiced accordingly. In terms of remembrance itself, it should be explained as the aspect of means, that is, the remembrance combined with the mind. Thus, after fully completing the rituals such as blessing the vow-being himself as the nature of the deity through the two stages of the order, in order to subdue one's own mind that is difficult to tame, it should be explained as the aspect of means, because even the means combined with the mind have various different ways of showing. So how do you want to combine it here? Answer: First, in order to make one's own mind autonomous, one should meditate on the Vajra Subtle Samadhi, these words are said in this way. Through the power of familiarizing oneself with samadhi, the mind can abide in the object of focus, which is the mind being autonomous. Since the subtle aspect of the vajra is manifested, it is the Vajra Subtle Samadhi. Here it is also said that the mind can be completely tamed by this alone. If you ask how you want to establish the stages or order, the answer is: As mentioned above, for those who are unable to perform many observations, they can be divided into four time periods to transcend the number.

Therefore, only after reciting the Vajra words of the eight root (verses), should this union (method) be learned. Before my transformation state, or before learning any other method, one should first become proficient in this meditative union, thereby gaining control to be able to settle the mind anywhere. Then, one can begin reciting as many times as one desires, without any conflict. So, in order to manifest this meditative union, will there be a manifestation of merit, or what kind of necessity is there? It is said: As it is said, "From the teaching of the benefits of the Vajra Subtle Word" and so on. After that, the so-called "slightly" means: By becoming proficient in this meditative union of the Vajra Subtle Word, after being freed from the faults of dullness and agitation, in order to manifest the completely pure Bodhicitta and Mahamudra, the meditation of settling one-pointedly on the meaning of union will be accomplished as it is. Therefore, "examined by meditative wisdom" means: Examining with the wisdom arising from the manifestation of the Vajra Subtle Word's meditation, it shows that this union will be accomplished. So, the name of the meditation taught in this way is called Vajra Subtle Word, how should one understand its essence? It is said: The Vajra Subtle Word, in reality, refers to the very air in which one's mind dwells, and so on. The air in which the mind dwells causes it to circulate completely. The air related to the mind is considered to be the Vajra Subtle Word. Why? Because in this case, mind and air are considered to exist in a relationship of mutual dependence, so it is said in this way. So, what is the nature of the place of arising and ceasing where it universally circulates? It is said: It is said to be the characteristic of the breath coming out and entering from the nostrils. So, what is the size? It is said: It is said to be as subtle as the tip of a hair. So, how should one contemplate its shape? It is said: It is said that the Vajra Subtle Word is like a grain of rice. So, how should one know its color? It is said: It is said to be similar to the color and radiance of one's own deity.

Then, where should one contemplate? Answer: At the tip of the nose. Then, who should contemplate in this way? Answer: Those skilled in yoga contemplate. How long should one contemplate? Answer: Because it is said, "By the power of contemplation," and so on. Then, from where should one establish confidence in the reason or manifest proof for doing this? Answer: Like this, when explaining the four-seal mandala, it is also said, "Also," and so on. Then, how should the order of this practice of meditation be done? Answer: The order of the subtle vajra is also like this; first, it is said, "For a while," and so on. Then, what is the essence of doing this? Answer: It is done through "Om Sukshma Vajra (oṃ sukṣma vajra, 嗡,苏卡什玛,瓦吉拉,Subtle Vajra)." How should it be expanded? Answer: It is said, "Exhale slowly," and so on. Then, to what extent should it be expanded? Answer: It is said, "How It is seen and heard." Similarly, the re-absorption and abiding, and "having transformed from that for the sake of approaching it," refers to: The place where the breath, which exists in connection with life, arises and enters, is also of two kinds. It should be known that it is in the nostrils and all the pores of the hair. However, in this case, only the two nostrils should be known. "Having transformed from that for the sake of approaching it," refers to: For those who wish to connect the mind and wind, through the practice of samadhi with this characteristic, the breath transforms from that into the subtle vajra. The connection between the breath and the subtle vajra, the difference between subtle and coarse, the measure and shape like the tip of a hair, and such colors, should be examined at the location of the nose. "Due to the power of contemplation, the breath arising from the nose," refers to: Because of the power of contemplating the subtle vajra in this way, the breath arising from the nose, abandoning its nature of freely flowing in and out, abides without flowing. Because it has transformed into the subtle vajra, it completely fills the two nostrils. By contemplating that it abides in the nostrils, through the power of the mind being attracted and controlled, a special awareness arises in the mind, feeling that the subtle vajra abides in the nose.
