Therefore, it is shown to practice the recitation through the yoga of the owner (deity). Because, from this, the practice of reciting for the Tathagata family is: by practicing the Tathagata yoga, contemplate that in the moon mandala in one's heart, any one of the letters of the heart mantra, mudra, secret mantra, and vidya mantra resides. For the Vajra family, Padma family, and Ratna family, after practicing the yoga of their respective owners (deities), as mentioned before, contemplate that on the moon mandala in one's heart, which resides Vajra, Padma, and Ratna emitting blazing rays of light, the letters to be recited residing within them, and recognize it as the yoga of recitation in the manner of clearly reciting. As it is said: The Tathagata family is very good, recitation is supreme, with auspicious vajra posture, with the mind focused on the Buddha, one's own thought is wise, the all-knowing Buddha is always me, after contemplating one's own body, the name of oneself such as the crown, I dwell in the heart essence of the Buddha, thinking I am the Buddha, the wheel made by the dancer, arises from the dance of the Buddhas, manifesting great Bodhi, turning the wheel of Dharma, taming beings and enjoying, fully enjoying the bliss of Dharma. The place is also completely transformed, it also arises from the rootless mind, the merit and wisdom are perfectly complete, contemplate the full moon. In the center of the heart, fearless, one should also contemplate that moon. In the center of the moon mandala, contemplate the letters of the vidya mantra. With such a good method, it will be accomplished with half a month. Even one with the five heinous crimes, can accomplish it in one year. The yogi recites with great diligence, without getting tired. Even if the body is tired, one should strive to undo the mudra. So it is said. After that is the recitation of the Vajra family: Contemplate oneself as Vajrapani, and after that, with samadhi think: I dwell in the heart essence of the Buddha, Vajrapani, I am stable.

My heart essence is luminous, adorned with a lunar disc. Within the lunar disc dwells a vajra, and within it are all the letters. Abiding in such yoga, recite the Vajra Jewel. Thus it is said. Then recite the Lotus family, oneself as the Lotus Sattva. Within the moon is a great lotus, and within the lotus are all the letters. Then recite the Jewel family, oneself as the Jewel King. Within the moon is the supreme jewel, and within the jewel are all the letters. Thus it is said. Thus, for the time being. This is the explanation of the distinctions of recitation with objects of focus, as spoken in the Vajra Peak. For yogis with minds that understand the selflessness of phenomena, from the Compendium of Reality, the yoga of ultimate wisdom is explained, and other distinctions of recitation from the Vajra Peak are also to be explained here. Therein, firstly, from the Noble Compendium of Reality, the means of recitation to be done in the yoga of ultimate wisdom, the Perfection of Wisdom, is explained. Firstly, the yogi should, as before, bless oneself as the Samaya Sattva. Having performed the offering ritual, visualize that in front of you also abides the Wisdom Sattva of your own deity as the main deity. From the gate of contemplating that oneself, the deity, and the letters to be recited are all unborn. First, with faith and understanding that all phenomena are emptiness, restrain the place of the mind, both life and effort, within. With a mind free from appearances such as form, contemplate oneself, the deity, and the letters to be recited as being like the sky, and with the nature of mentally reciting inwardly, with the nature of the words as spoken in accordance with the reason for mental recitation, with faith and understanding in the Dharmakaya of one's own deity, recite with heart essences, mudras, secret mantras, and vidya mantras. When exhaling, one should also experience the touch of the subtle wind abiding within the nose. Releasing it outward, and manifesting the remembrance of the body of one's own deity as believed, and again, slowly, in the manner of withdrawing life, contemplate the constant of the mind with remembrance and life, as being equal to the sky.
