This should be known. Therefore, at all times and places, it will become the nature of the mudra to be consistent. Here, according to the distinctions of body, etc., there are four types called the Great Mudra, the Commitment of Action, Dharma, and the Action Mudra. Among these, the image of the deity is the Great Mudra. Why? Because it is similar, it can cause the remembrance of that deity, hence it is called the Great Mudra. Its nature is also explained in this tantra and others, as well as in the Great Mudra ritual. As it is said in this tantra: Body, speech, and mind are vajra, through the union of images, the great self is the Great Mudra, knowing this, one will achieve. Thus it is said. Similarly, in other tantras it is also said: Body, speech, and mind are vajras, according to the manner in which they are written, if one possesses the symbolic mudra, one will become a great bodhisattva. Thus it is said. Among these, the so-called manner of writing as it is written, is to first examine how the image of the deity is written, and then accordingly, in the mind, visualize the image of the deity itself, and think that there is no difference between oneself and that deity, this is its meaning. Here, there are two types of deity images, one is the deity image of the Great Mudra, etc., and the other is the mudra deity image of Vajradhatu Ishvari, etc. Among the two, the goddesses of form, because of the beings they can subdue, hide the form of women in the nature of many limbs such as mudras, and as a symbol of this, such as residing in the Wrathful Stupa, etc., are shown here as the form of the mudra. Therefore, the so-called mudra of Vajradhatu Ishvari, etc., whether it is written, made, or its essential form, or arises from meditation, is called the Great Mudra of the mantra goddess. Or, the mudras of Vajradhatu Ishvari, etc., themselves, the mudras formed and bound in the hands, also show the self-nature of the Great Mudra of those mantra goddesses themselves, and in order to be consistent with this, it is shown in order to generate the remembrance of the bodies of those goddesses.

It should be understood. All these Mahamudras should also be understood as two types through the distinction of inner and outer. Among them, the forms of writing and so on are external. Apart from that, the image of the deity's body visualized by the mind is internal. This is the display of the meaning of Mahamudra. Next, the meaning of the Samaya Mudra will be explained. Among them, the Samaya Mudra, whose nature is the appearance of the fingers, is the Samaya Mudra. The secret of the minds of the great masters is called the sound of Samaya. It is said in the tantras that it is called Samaya in order to truly obtain or realize, or for the meaning of non-transgression. Why? Because, the Suchness of that own realm is the Samaya Mudra. The nature of non-transgression by the great masters, as mentioned before. Therefore, the appearance of the secret of the deity's mind is the meaning of the said Samaya. Therefore, when practicing the Samaya Mudra in this tantra and other tantras, the Samaya Mudra to be practiced is formed and placed in the direction of the heart, and one visualizes one's own mind as Vajra. Its appearance is also said in the Great Sutra: By perfectly understanding one's own mind, visualize Vajra from the moon. Practicing the three as one, this is the secret of the mind. Thus it is declared. Whatever is the appearance of the mind, for that meaning, it should also be understood that it is also the appearance of that place. Because, the knower and the known are not different. Similarly, in other scriptures it is also said: Body, speech, and mind are Vajras, stable with fingers intertwined, Samaya is known from the mind, Karma Mudra is divided into two. Thus it is declared. The distinction between body, speech, and mind secrets, with its appearance and representation, is described in detail in this scripture in order to show it to the sentient beings who are to be subdued. In other tantras, the collection of body and so on itself is mostly established as Samaya Mudra. Or, the great Bodhisattvas do not transgress it, therefore they have the Samaya of the nature of the deity's non-transgression, therefore the Mudra with Samaya is called Samaya Mudra. Or, they themselves are non-transgressing, therefore to it
