Therefore, for the sake of those holy beings with supremely pure wisdom who desire the essence of the nectar of yoga to know that he abides here performing the meaning of Suchness in various ways. Because, if accompanied by those arising pleasures of extraordinary accomplishments as desired, by pleasure itself one will quickly attain its rank. Having pleased the great self-existent one and his retinue, they will bestow the great empowerment of accomplishment capable of benefiting all sentient beings. Therefore, whoever is great in self-nature and exceedingly noble, in order to accomplish the task of benefiting the great assembly of sentient beings in every way, abiding in the collection of limitless qualities and jewels, constantly and continuously performing the deeds of the great lord of all three worlds, benefiting all beings, for those who desire to effortlessly attain happiness, therefore, the Buddhas and their retinues, with great compassion, consider those to be attainable. They also therefore show here the four, namely the Great Seal and so forth, as methods of practice that are the distinctions of the nature of the deity they have examined themselves. As it is said: How the world is subdued, Thus quickly shows accomplishment, Among them the method is the Great Seal, Well able to accomplish all accomplishments. How accomplishment is achieved by the hand seal, Thus the conduct of enlightenment and so forth, All the order of rituals as well, The meaning of Buddha and sentient beings is not accomplished. Thus it is said. In order to please the Great Seal and so forth, it is said that they belong to the Tathagata family and are located in the Vajradhatu mandala, and it should be known that this is briefly mentioned here. Because, in order to please those, the ritual is abbreviated. Therefore, the words Great Seal, Samaya, Dharma, and Karma Seal should be explained from the general tantra. Among them, those shown by the deity itself, its nature, or its part, as being without distinction, are called hand seals, meaning symbols. Hand seal and symbol, mark, and near characteristic, etc., are not different in meaning, as

In short, (if) without distinguishing the nature of the deity or its components, the practitioner remembers the deity he wishes to remember, remembrance will arise. Therefore, this is its near characteristic. Therefore, this meaning has been clearly explained in this very tantra, as well as in the "Victor Over the Three Realms." As it says therein: "Temporarily in this, the insurmountable, the indestructible, is the seal of the king, the form of the great self-nature, therefore it is proclaimed as the seal." Furthermore, as stated in the discussion of the "Victor Over the Three Realms": "The vajra of body, speech, and mind, the union of images, this distinction of all seals, is emphatically proclaimed to arise." Having said this, it is also said that the ultimate truth itself is the seal. The "image" mentioned here refers to the symbolic characteristics of the deity. Therefore, even dissimilar characteristics are described as images, so there will be no fault such as incomplete characteristics. The "ultimate truth" mentioned here should be regarded as the characteristic of selflessness of person and phenomena. Other scriptures also explain that the symbolic characteristic of the ultimate truth deity is the seal, as it says: "The dharmadhatu in the sutras is called the great seal of symbols." Among them, the word "dharmadhatu" refers to the ultimate truth, as well as the various characteristics of the deity related to it. For example, sometimes the word "king" also refers to the king and his retinue. So, what does the statement related to the dharmadhatu refer to? It refers to those who have realized it and are completely purified, thereby fulfilling the benefit of themselves and others in various possible ways. Therefore, the statement "what arises from the uncreated is the noble one" also refers to this. Those who appear as not completely pure deities are either blessed by the Tathagata for the benefit of those beings who need to be subdued, or they are the manifestations obtained by beings who have accumulated merit through habituating themselves to the aspects of the dharmadhatu. Furthermore, these primordial (existing) ones are also associated with the dharmadhatu.
