Therefore, defilements can be removed by (upholding vows). By benefiting oneself and others, one makes offerings to the Guru and the Three Jewels. Starting from taking refuge in the Three Jewels, accumulate merit and gather resources, and uphold all precepts such as the Bodhicitta vows. As mentioned above, two verses explain the benefits, one verse explains the faults of breaking vows, and half a verse explains that one should uphold vows with reverence and without making mistakes. Two verses explain liberation from defilements. One and a half verses explain offering to the Guru and the Three Jewels, accumulating resources, and upholding vows and precepts. These are the contents of what has been prescribed. The meaning of the branches is also skillful means and wisdom, as well as the ten suchness, cause, effect, and the suchness of skillful means. The seven ways, the two of the generation stage and the completion stage, and the difference between recitation and practice, one who wants to accomplish the benefit of oneself and others is the mantra practitioner. In this way, abandoning the defilement of vows becomes a vessel, and one will obtain common and supreme accomplishments. Otherwise, if one breaks the vows, one will be controlled by demons in this life and suffer, and in the next life one will fall into the Vajra Hell and other places. The extent of these has been explained above, so it will not be repeated here. Therefore, one should remember without being confused and follow and uphold all vows. If one violates them, one should also be freed from defilements by offering to the Guru and confessing. If you want to benefit yourself, start from taking refuge in the Three Jewels and accumulate merit and gather resources, and uphold all precepts such as the Bodhicitta vows. This is a brief explanation of the extensive explanation of the fourteen root downfalls of Vajrayana. Now, wanting to explain the faults of the branches, first prostrate to Heruka and the teacher, which is to express the offering first. Prostration to Heruka, who possesses the three doors of liberation, and whose cause, path, and result are pure and undefiled, and to the Guru who is inseparable. Extremely robbing bliss, the fault of the branches.

I will explain. The so-called "seizing great bliss" refers to generating all bliss from the root samaya. I will explain the branch offenses. The so-called "branch offenses" refers to the substance of the branch not being complete. Only the main part of the branch exists, which is coarse. Confession beyond the time limit is heavy. Others are minor offenses and slight. It is also important to know when there is no offense. By distinguishing these, it is explained internally. Wanting to explain it, it says, "Those who do not have vows, delight in relying on consorts, etc." The so-called not having vows refers to not having received empowerment, not being able to keep secrets, the mantra practitioner himself not believing in the right path, and not possessing the age and characteristics of the body, speech, and mind consorts. Even if they possess them, relying on them due to attachment and not delighting in nirvana, etc., is a branch offense. Arising from defilement is confessing to the sangha, and afterwards, one should study those who have vows. Similarity is collecting together. This is the explanation of the first branch offense. Wanting to explain the second, it says, "Arguing in the ganachakra, is the second branch offense." The so-called ganachakra, heroes' feast, arguing in the sangha, pacifying on the same cushion, is a branch offense. Exceeding the time limit is coarse. Others are minor offenses and slight. Arising is confessing from that, and through the order of offenses, arising from defilement from the ganachakra, etc. Similarity is collecting together. It is also important to understand from the difference of fields and intentions. It is also important to know when there is no offense. This is the explanation of the second branch offense. Wanting to explain the third branch offense, it says, "From the consort who should not be spoken of, the mantra practitioner obtains amrita, is the third branch offense." The so-called should not be spoken of refers to abuse. Obtaining the five amritas from that is a branch offense. Confession exceeding the limit is heavy. It is also important to know slight offenses and no offenses. Arising is confessing to the sangha, and afterwards, one should rely on the amrita of those who have vows. One should follow what is said. This is the explanation of the third branch offense. Now, the fourth branch offense will be explained, even if one knows the branch of the secret dharma, not to
