From the basis of clinging's defilements, attain the unsurpassed Bodhi. Similarly, in the second examination, it is said: "Joy will arise in that." And so on. The second line speaks of the fruit of habituation. Nada, etc., refers to the long Hum syllable (ཧཱུྃ,hūṃ,hum). The discriminating awareness of wisdom holding method is called bindu. The discriminating awareness of the knowable holding wisdom is called Nada. These two are abandoned at that time by discriminating awareness. Therefore, all dharmas should be seen as without objects, and the realization of mind should also be without separate intentions. The third line speaks of the activity of conventional Bodhicitta. How, etc., refers to where Bodhicitta first arises from. To that, one's own Bodhicitta Is separated from the discriminating awareness of the senses and objects, because one wants to know the nature of self-awareness of the four joys. Similarly, Saraha's feet also said: "Where the mind itself is stable, it transforms. When the winds and tastes become equality, the senses and objects become the same as they are. Elsewhere, with what does it become the same?" The fourth line speaks of one's own power. Saying, etc., refers to what was said by the accomplished master Kamkanapa's feet. With form and without form, etc., are the babblings of child yogis. Equality is conquered by the indestructible sound. Similarly, it is also said in the scriptures: "With the sound of the lion of emptiness, all sounds are terrified." And so on. This is the song called Malla Ri, sung by the black practitioner. The mind tree has branches of the five senses, on which fall the annual fruits of desire. Cut it with the axe of the words of the supreme guru. Kahna said that the tree will not grow again. This tree is nourished by the water of good and non-good. The wise person uses the measure of the guru's observation. If one does not know which tree to cut and which tree to fell, it will rot and fall, and the ignorant will believe in samsara. With the excellent empty tree in the sky, cut the branches of this tree from the root with an axe. The black practitioner, utterly satisfied with the meaning of suchness and supreme joy, spoke thus. Mind tree, etc., refers to the habits of existence from beginningless time.

Because of relying on its branches, the Black Practitioner observes his own mind as a tree. His mind-tree is liberated from the branches of the five senses. Desire descends with its leaves and fruits. The foot of དྷྲཱུའི་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal meaning) symbolizes its non-birth. The so-called supreme guru, etc., is what the Black Practitioner said, that the axe of the sublime guru's words cuts and destroys his habits. It will not grow again in the foundation like a mind-tree. Similarly, In the second examination, it is also said, "Otherwise, one will not attain Buddhahood." etc. The second line speaks of the power of the guru's words, the so-called growth, etc., is also that the mind-tree draws water of good and non-good, and revolves in the land of samsara such as one's own mind. Then ask the auspicious guru, experience his words, and the wise person says: The Lord of Yoga cuts down his mind-tree. The third line speaks of the yogi who lacks oral instructions is samsara itself, the so-called what tree, etc., is to say that whichever childish yogi cuts down the mind-tree, does not know how to make it without self-nature. They also revolve due to the suffering of samsara and will fall into the six realms. Again, they will take existence and not know the path of liberation. The fourth line praises the footsteps of the path of the guru's words, the so-called supreme tree of emptiness, etc., is to say that from this ignorance is the tree of emptiness. Alas! Childish yogi, the sky is naturally luminous. With an axe, that is, the grace of the guru's words, completely cut off habits. Whoever will not be a slave to the senses again. The song called Shambala is the footprint of Jayananda. Please look at it like looking at dreams and images. The intermediate existence is also the same. If the mind is liberated from ignorance, then coming and going will be cut off. Not hard, not wet, continuous and uninterrupted. Deluded by illusion, look at the fear of white hair and wrinkles. The body is like a shadow, the same as illusion. Aspect
