The lush tree is an example of a drum; transcending the yoga of wind and declaring one's own tenets is an example of the yoga of a tree; having no hope or fear is an example of a young child; experiencing it oneself but being unable to show it to others is an example of the bliss of a young woman; not being stained by the mud of the world is an example of a lotus; not being harmed by afflictions is an example of a poisonous mantra holder; the inseparability of equipoise and post-equipoise is an example of a great elephant; not moving from the Dharmakaya is an example of a crow flying from a ship; being bound by the fault of duality is an example of seeing a snake in a rope; being bound by the five objects of desire is an example of a fish, a butterfly, an elephant, a bee, and a mountain deer; understanding the nature of reality, even if enjoying desirable objects, is not harmful, like water and waves; the sudden arising of conceptual thoughts dissolving into the Dharmakaya is an example of dust; many are one, like adding water to water; the yoga of encounter is like a flame spreading in a forest; attachment to anything is contradictory, like the husk of a sesame seed; the direct perception of the senses and the direct perception of yoga are similar but not the same, like a pig and an elephant; even without wisdom, accomplishing benefit is like a wish-fulfilling jewel; an impure vessel or something that cannot be remembered is like the poison of Kalakuta; not losing the taste of the nature of reality is like salt dissolving in water; mind and mental events are inseparable, like a butter lamp in water; various appearances not moving from the Dharmakaya is like a king showing illusions; wisdom being eaten as food is like a wife eating her husband; samsara and nirvana, the union of co-emergence, is like a fire mirror and a water mirror; the Dharmakaya seems to be touched by the mind but cannot be touched, like the actions of a Chandala; if the Sambhogakaya is not realized and is sought everywhere, it is like the water of a mirage; if the instructions of the fourth initiation are realized, it is like a jewel of the moon; after realizing the Nirmanakaya, letting the mind wander is like taming an elephant; if the essence is realized to be inseparable, it is like a water bubble. To clarify these examples: First, the only thing that needs to be realized is the intention of the Sugatas of the three times, not the realization that is to be viewed. That is, all phenomena such as samsara and nirvana

It is necessary to recognize non-duality. There are many things to say about this, which must be learned from the mouth of the guru. Among them, distinguishing between the lowest, middle, and highest yogas: the lowest yoga is the view of the inseparability of appearance and emptiness, the meditation of the inseparability of bliss and emptiness, and the result of the inseparability of the three bodies. The middle yoga says: the lowest yoga is merely established as conceptual thought. That conceptual thought is only remembrance, therefore, the mirror-like wisdom, and the wisdom of equality that experiences non-remembrance through instructions, and the wisdom of individual self-awareness that arises from pointing out the ground of unborn, and the wisdom of diligent non-action that arises from realizing non-action, and the utterly pure realm of phenomena that is inconceivable, those utterly pure realms are experienced through instructions, and are called the middle yoga. The highest yoga says: what the middle yoga establishes as wisdom is like an illusion, not distinguishing between remembrance and non-attention, only the spontaneously abiding union. Whatever is without remembrance and without attention, that is the spontaneously abiding emptiness; whatever is unborn and irrefutable, that is the spontaneously abiding equanimity; whatever is inconceivable, not knowable by the mind, that is the spontaneously abiding cessation. Moreover, those spontaneously abiding states are inseparable from non-attention. Whatever is the combined power of the two, the three realms of samsara and the three of nirvana are emanations of mind and wisdom. Whatever is mind and wisdom, that is without substance. Because it is without substance, one should not abide in what is not substantial. The unborn nature of phenomena should not abide in this place born of evil mind. The nature of mind itself is the knowable that is without remembrance, therefore, it does not abide, it does not abide in samsara, it does not abide in nirvana. The unborn is also realized by relying on remembrance and non-remembrance. For example, as long as the firewood is not exhausted, the fire will exist; when the firewood is exhausted, the fire has nowhere to abide. Similarly, as long as remembrance and non-remembrance are not exhausted, the unborn will exist. Knowing the two as like a dream illusion. The unborn, because it has no object of focus, is like a blind person, and therefore cannot be spoken of. Alas, whatever is said is false, abandon the blind person, and appearances arise in the mind.
