O! Realization is the friend of the lineage, as deep as the ocean, as vast as the sky. O friends, deep and vast, suchness is free from the fixation of self and other, neither other nor self-nature. When is that? At the time of the Great Seal empowerment, that which is free from all mental fabrication is the third. Non-thought, non-birth, beyond mind, these three are the third empowerment. Therefore, not moving from that, knowing by the fourth instruction, is the time of the fourth, co-emergent. That itself, beyond mind, constantly and continuously abiding, is the primordial. Experiencing through such realization is knowing through experiencing the primordial. What is it like? Afflictions and cognitive obscurations are like thick darkness. Destroying that is like the moon jewel of the Naga realm, with the instructions of the supreme guru, causing the unawakened to awaken. The moon jewel in great darkness, just as the moon jewel does not need to move the darkness from itself to another place, so afflictions and knowledge do not need to be abandoned. Just as it appears, so it is, not stained by the mud of samsara or the mud of nirvana, the unsurpassed great bliss, at the moment of showing the supreme, in an instant seeing the Buddha's intention. In the supreme great bliss, in one instant, mental fabrication is the sin of thought, non-fabrication is the virtue of non-meditation. Knowing that in the conceptualization of thought, the mind finds rest, in non-thought, disheartened by experience. Therefore, causing all the sins of thought to be defeated. Now, if realized, then it will be shown with the example of the mind like an elephant. Among these, first realize the emanation body. Sentient beings tormented by heat, like eyes unable to bear looking directly into the center of the sun. The bodies of some sentient beings are also like eyes, seeing the sun as suffering, thinking when will it be able to set. The sun sets, pervading the sky, the lord of stars, the moon, and the planets and coolness rise together. Likewise, yogis see the cause of samsara, this thought, like the sun of suffering, thinking when will it be able to set.

Therefore, when the appearance of suffering vanishes, just as when Rahu swallows, the sun sets, and the stars, moon, and Rahu all rise together, at the time when the yogi's thought vanishes, and the all-pervading non-thought, the non-material unborn, the non-coming and non-going beyond mind, are immediately revealed through oral instructions, the lord of stars, Rahu, rises together. Thus, abiding in the realm of non-thought, unborn, and beyond mind, various manifestations arise from it, and by abiding thus, manifestations are emanated. From non-thought, various phenomena arise, which is the mandala of the Nirmāṇakāya; abiding in the unborn realm, realizing the Sambhogakāya mandala of perfect enjoyment; beyond mind and un-meditable, therefore the Dharmakāya mandala is the supreme Dharma wheel. Therefore, that is the mandala, the supreme Dharma wheel. Even so, if one is deluded by ignorance, but the pure mind free from grasping and clinging is merely remembered in non-thought, it is not something to be realized. Alas! If one tries to realize the mind with a deluded mind, then there is no need to mention liberation from evil views such as permanence and annihilation. Therefore, the Mind-Only and Madhyamaka schools, if they do not realize the un-fabricated (spontaneous) Mahāmudrā, have evil views. Yogis, by realizing that which cannot be realized by anything, all evil views will be naturally liberated. Those who are bound by the dual fetters of the knower and the known are the Mind-Only and Madhyamaka schools, but yogis are not bound by either the knower or the known, and the one who knows all aspects, indicated by the supreme moon, is the most supreme, it is not stained by any mud, and becomes the lord of great bliss, therefore, by virtue of the supreme great bliss, common attainments arise from mental recollection, meditation, mantras, and mudras, etc., but the uncommon Mahāmudrā attainment, remaining unwavering in the state of non-fabrication, like a vajra-like samadhi, is the supreme attainment. Having realized this, letting the mind rest naturally, just as on an extremely unruly elephant, tamed with an iron hook, a powerful person would not let go, so is the mind of the realized yogi.

Understand that your own nature is unborn, understand that the nature of mind is without thought. Do not accept or reject the appearances of thoughts that arise from the mind, let the elephant of the mind run free. The understanding of a yogi who is liberated from knower and known is not to be asked of others, but to be asked of oneself. The nature of mind, like the sky, is free from elaboration. Because the unborn water of the mountains of knower and known flows down, drink the water of the mountains of the sky. Know that the mind with memory is like an illusion, and that the shore of samsara and the absence of memory of the other shore are like a dream experienced through oral instructions. Both shores of nirvana bring rest to the mind, and on the shore of the river of unborn weariness, abide in your own happiness. The object of the mind is like an elephant, and with the hand of the unborn hook, like a master of no-thought, take the hand of the master of the elephant of the object. Just as a great elephant, though strong, is controlled by the skill of the hook-wielder, so too, with skillful means, the elephant of the mind can be killed. Happiness will always be self-controlled, and how it is killed will appear freely. Thus, the yogi who realizes this is like one who trains an elephant. If he knows that the nature of mind is unborn, then he should become weary of the mind's non-thought, like a yogi training an elephant. If he does not realize this, the elephant is a forest elephant and cannot be turned back, and he will not be able to cross the forest of samsara. The yogi who realizes this will have control over his mind, and since there is nowhere else to go apart from that very nature, he will turn back from there. Now, I will explain the single essence of all phenomena by the example of bubbles in the ocean. Although samsara and nirvana appear as two to the mind, the root of their cause is non-existent. Through intelligence, one revolves in samsara, but because its nature is not established, it is the path to nirvana. Therefore, beyond abandoning samsara, there is no nirvana. Whatever is samsara is definitely nirvana. Although the mind itself is labeled with terms such as samsara and nirvana, there is not even a particle of difference in the expanse.
