If the Lama does not instruct, one will not understand; what is indicated is "at home," and so on. "At home" means what one possesses oneself. "Going out to seek" means elsewhere. An example is given: after seeing the householder, one asks, "Have you seen such and such a householder?" Even if the Lama instructs, one will not realize it if one does not practice oneself; what is indicated is "foolish," and so on, which is easy to understand. It is also indicated that one can achieve success by dwelling in comfort while practicing oneself, as stated in "traveling through various lands," and so on. Among them, "traveling through various lands and listening due to suffering" means that even if one knows in various places where one seeks to hear, one is oppressed by difficulties. This is just a symbol; other ascetic practices can also be included. The rest is easy to understand. So, what does one achieve through? One achieves through enjoying comfort. If one worries that this will not bind, then relying on depending on various places, one will not be defiled by those places, because one knows that the nature of those places and their possessors are of the same taste. If one asks what the example is, it is "even if one takes a lotus," which is easy to understand. If one asks what the cause of not being bound is, it is said "like this," and so on. Among them, "who is this" refers to practice. "Like this" refers to "because of what," because the root relies on the protection of the wind, so it is like this. Among them, the root refers to the illusory body. The protection of the wind refers to the arising of the illusory body in the pure wind. The example of not being bound is "with poison," which is easy to understand. In this way, because what one possesses oneself is not modified, like an illusion, it is indicated that this itself is the cause of not being bound. Furthermore, it is indicated that one will not be liberated by offering faith to the gods, so it is said "offering to the gods," and so on, which is easy to understand. Now, in order to manifest the illusory body, and in order to have the flawless method of observation and instruction, it is said "the eyes," and so on. Among them, not blinking the eyes is the gaze of wrath. Stopping the mind refers to stopping conceptual thought with its power. Stopping the wind refers to the five winds gradually entering the Avadhuti (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning) channel. If one asks what fault there is if the wind does not stop, it is said, "When the wind flows, it will not be still." Because the wind is the root of samsara, as long as the wind flows, one will not be liberated from samsara. "At the time of death" refers to the time of death.

So. What should a yogini do? A yogini is an illusory yogini. What should be done means that even if one has it, it is of no benefit. How can one not escape from samsara? It is said, "As long as the senses are..." The meaning is this: Through the power of the downward-moving wind, śukra (शुक्र, semen) falls downward, and rakta (रक्त, blood) matures upward, thereby awakening the gate of the senses. Then, riding on life generates all thoughts. Likewise, it is also said in the Root Verses on the Profound Wisdom: As long as there are worldly discriminations and various worldly discriminations, the discriminating bodhicitta always arises from the wind. Thus, the root of samsara is wind, so it must be cut off. And that depends on binding the mind. Binding the mind also depends on practicing non-discrimination, so in a way of benefit, it is said to settle the mind in non-discrimination, which is "you" and so on. Among them, "What does that do?" means that there is nothing to do, it is inherently one. "Think about where to go" means that the place to go is inherently one. Thus, it is to abandon actions and abide in non-discrimination. This is a very difficult view. The so-called "entering with view" means that it is very difficult, meaning that actions are emptiness, which is difficult. The so-called "entering with view" means that if one has the means, one can naturally enter non-discrimination. Like this, after entering non-discrimination, in order to show one's own nature without discrimination, it is "who" and so on. "Who" is the Buddha. "Where" is from oneself. "That is the Buddha." "There" is in oneself. "Not seeing" means that without the causal body, one cannot see. The others are easy to understand. Now, in order to show in detail the method of practice through the means of analogy, it is said, "Taming the elephant" and so on. Just as a hermit who raises elephants can live peacefully after taming the elephant, if one lets go of the mind's discriminations, the mind can be gathered. The mind is wavering, and the so-called "there" refers to the central channel. The so-called "coming and going" refers to the coming and going of the wind, and if one cuts it off, one can be calm in the central channel. This is settling the mind in non-discrimination and settling the wind in the central channel. The so-called "What Dharma is needed?" means that the yoga of discrimination is not needed.
