It is like completely abandoning the four extremes. Not dwelling on the side of the antidote, nor clinging to that itself, because one does not desire any fruit, therefore he knows the Great Seal. This is expressed in these words. Here, the Great Seal is the oral instruction of the very nature of the Great Seal, which is the complete knowledge of the very nature of things. Also, these three contemplations, that is, relying equally on the four extremes, and completely liberating from the four extremes. Because it is not its very nature itself, it is not contradictory. Being separated from two is being non-dual. Arrogance is the discriminating thought that contemplates reality. This also does not depart from the nature of luminosity, therefore, the nature is completely pure. Thus, what is to be accomplished and what accomplishes should also be realized as the nature of luminosity. Furthermore, here, it is said that because reasons are completely abandoned, there is no mental activity, just as here, when the eyes are closed, nothing is seen, such as a vase and woolen cloth, etc., this is the absence of mental activity. Also, the very non-apprehension of things through discriminating observation or the guru's oral instruction is non-mentation. As it is said: In going, staying, sitting, and lying down, one should remain in equanimity. Listening, seeing, and likewise meditating, touching and experiencing, wisdom itself is pure, from discriminating observation and oral instruction, because all dharmas are unborn, seeing is also not seeing. Therefore, one does not mentally engage with reasons, but completely knowing the absence of reasons itself. Also, the discriminating thought that contemplates reasons refers to the discriminating observation that is skilled in characteristics. That too is unborn itself, which the Bhagavan has taught as being completely pure. As the Bhagavan said in the Samadhiraja Sutra: To truly know, hold onto the sign, it is definitely taught to hold closely. Even the absence of holding onto the sign, if it is definitely known, it is taught. Even if the nature of the sign is known, in that way, the sign will not arise. This sign should be abandoned, and one will enter the sight of the signless. By acting with the elaboration of signs, there is no liberation from signs. When this sign arises, by whom is this sign produced? Where is the sign touched by whom? By whom is the sign touched?

That which prevents. By what does the mark arise? With wisdom, one does not attain all dharmas. This mind thinks thus. Therefore, marks do not arise. For whom marks do not arise, how can marks cease? Thus it is said. Such a transformed mindlessness, and non-discrimination, called mind and discrimination, these self-empty wisdoms are not non-existent. Thus it is said. In the Madhyamaka of Union, it says: The combination of thoughts of the mind, that is without thought, without discrimination, all supreme of all, beyond the senses, without form, the nature of existence and non-existence, abandoning existence and non-existence, equal to the four extremes, liberated from the four extremes, establishing various kinds without variety, without doubt, therefore great bliss, the fruit itself is those discriminations, analysis itself is without analysis, those who are born from that and that, are the nature of the unborn. Therefore, since self-awareness is unborn, one desires the unborn of oneself, not abiding on the edge of analysis, not changing from the edge of discrimination. Thus it is said. Also, as the Lama said: This discrimination arises dependently, it is not the practice of connection, that itself is Nirvana, do not be confused in mind. Thus it is said. Again, having abandoned all pervasive doubts, one goes as if in such happiness. Thus it is said. Thus also the Bhagavan said: By what desire for that nature, not thinking of all minds, what mind by what is without thought, that becomes without thought. As sentient beings think thus, as thought thus is victorious, by what wisdom is without thought, this mind is extremely stable. In whose continuum this mind, will never arise, for whom the mind is without thought, all minds are separated. The mind itself is drawn and thought, for a long time thinking thus, the mind itself is attention, the mind is inexhaustible. This mind is a great mind, the mind of Dharma is supreme, by this mind of Dharma, one will enter into the true mind. Considering these, the Vajra Master said: What wisdom is effortless, said to be without thought.
