By what is he renowned? He is renowned by the giving of Dharma. And that is not like arrogance, but wearing the armor of loving-kindness and donning the armor of compassion. His weapon is the sword of wisdom that cuts off afflictions, and with the bow and arrow of skillful means and wisdom, he clears the battlefield of afflictions and irrationality. From what is he brave? He is brave from subduing the demons. Furthermore, he also protects and eliminates the fear of the four demons. It is not just eliminating one aspect, but causing the army of demons and their retinue to fail. That is, by realizing that the mind is unborn, he subdues the demon of afflictions. Because the nature of the mind itself has no aging, he subdues the demon of the aggregates. Because the nature of the mind itself has no birth or death, he subdues the demon of the Lord of Death. By realizing the nature of the mind, he is free from doubt and subdues the demon of the son of the gods. That is also said like this: "Even if the hosts of demons are billions, transforming into the body of the Buddha and speaking of obstacles, those skilled in the Dharma will attain the nature of Dharma themselves, and they cannot be turned back from enlightenment." Like that. In order to show that such a one is worthy of offering, the perfectly enlightened Buddha guides the world, is worthy of offering, worthy of praise, a place of prostration, is always worthy of being drawn, is worthy of reverence, the best of remembrance, is the supreme of the gurus worthy of prostration. Thus it is said, the essence of the Buddha, the venerable one, guides the world to the place of liberation, is worthy of offering, praise, and prostration, drawing the body and offering, adorning and revering, proclaiming virtues, and prostrating with the three doors of body, speech, and mind, is the supreme of the gurus. What is the distinction of his knowledge? He traverses the three realms in one step, suppresses limitlessly like the sky, the three knowledges are pure and clean, possessing six superknowledges and six recollections. Thus it is said, the three realms are traversed in one step of wisdom, and traversed by the steps of miraculous signs. Like the sky, realizing the Dharmakaya as limitless, he suppresses afflictions. That is, outwardly learning the three pitakas, inwardly learning body, speech, and mind, being pure and clean from the defilements of self and others. Furthermore, there are six superknowledges, namely the superknowledge of the divine eye and the superknowledge of the divine ear.
