, and the virtues that Bodhisattvas have in common, and the virtues unique to the Tathagata, these are uncommon. Among them, the common ones are the ten paths of virtuous actions, and the excellent fruits included in the actions of meditation, the four immeasurables, and samadhi, etc., as well as the fruits of the path of a renunciate, such as the four truths, the eight knowledges, and liberation, etc., and also directions, paramitas, grounds, the powers of Bodhisattvas, the fearlessness of Bodhisattvas, the dharanis of Bodhisattvas, samadhi, and so on. The uncommon virtues are the ten powers of the Tathagata, the eighteen unshared qualities, the major and minor marks, dharani, samadhi, the thirty-two great compassions, the three unmixed mindfulnesses, and the complete abandonment of all connections by habitual tendencies, the nature of not forgetting, and what is called all-supreme wisdom, and so on. These are called the ocean of the Tathagata's virtues, because they are as deep and vast as the ocean, they are immeasurable and beyond measure. If we summarize it here, there are four aspects: completely knowing all the dharmas to be relied upon without exception, completely abandoning all the dharmas to be abandoned without exception, all the dharmas that change are constantly transformed without error, and all the dharmas to be obtained are constantly obtained without exception. In this way, the ocean of the Tathagata's virtues can be summarized into four aspects. From the perspective of secret mantra, three great waves of the Tathagata's virtues are taught. What are the three? The all-pervading virtue, the virtue beyond calculation, and the supreme virtue. Among them, what is the all-pervading virtue? Like this, the Tathagata's virtues are boundless in the realm of space, reaching the ultimate limit of the realm of dharma, and in the impure realms, and those who dwell in those places, including those who are learning, those who are not learning, and all the dharmas included that are neither.

And so, like this, the aggregates, elements, sense bases, and from dependent arising up to the supreme wisdom of all aspects, the sphere of reality, and the dharmas in between the ultimate truth, there is nothing that is not pervaded, this is the quality of being all-pervasive. As for how it pervades, it should be understood by observing in the context of explaining the names. So, what are the qualities of the Tathagata that are beyond calculation? Like this, the qualities of the Tathagata's body, and similarly, the qualities of speech, mind, qualities, and activities, each root is also divided into five qualities, becoming the five bodies. Similarly, others are also divided into five, and ten are also divided into twenty-five families. These are also divided into hundreds of families by the classification of families such as essence, mudra, secret mantra, and vidya mantra. These are then similarly divided, resulting in hundreds of thousands of families, which are too many to be spoken of and countless, so they are called the ocean of families. Like this, saying that other families are infinite is like thinking that they are all included in the great families. Here it says: "Buddha has no beginning and no end, the first Buddha has no cause." The saying of five families, six families, and infinite families also comes from here: "All great families of secret mantras, the families of those who hold secret mantras and vidya mantras, observe these three families, the families of the mundane and supramundane, the great family that illuminates the world, the supreme family of the great mudra, having greatly observed the great crown." Thus it is said. The Vajra family alone is also infinite. Just as in this sutra, when describing the qualities of the questioner Vajradhara, it says: "Wrathful expressions appearing in order, etc., holding infinite vajras in hand." And "Vajra Terrifier makes terrifying," etc., like this, various families of Vajra wrathful deities are described. Similarly, other families should also be applied. Regarding the family of the Tathagata, this sutra says: "The great crown, the wonderful crown, shows various lords of the sky." Thus it is said. Regarding the power of the Padma family, it says: "The great essence of all Buddhas, the coiled wheel.
