Having well received and obtained the empowerment of the "Six-Syllable Root Secret Mantra of Manjushri," one engages in practice through the rituals of bathing, offering, and recitation. When undertaking asceticism before the mandala and images, and when applying the attainments of weapons symbolized by swords, tridents, and clubs, as well as the attainments of substances symbolized by camphor, orpiment, and rue, the sequence of self-visualization, the sequence of deity-visualization, their respective mantras, and the secret mantras used for actions such as bathing have not been clearly explained. Therefore, these will now be articulated. First, after performing external and internal bathing, enter the mantra chamber. Consecrate the seat with the weapon mantra and sit down. First, contemplate that all phenomena are pure in their essence. Then, generate the mind of great compassion and place the heart-essence secret mantra in your heart. That secret mantra is: Om Mu. (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་མུ།, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ mu, Literal Chinese Meaning: Om Mu.) Then, place the secret mantra of the brow on the brow: Om Mu Mu. (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་མུ་མུ།, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ mu mu, Literal Chinese Meaning: Om Mu Mu.) This is the secret mantra. Similarly, on the crown of the head, place: Om Im Mu. (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ཨིཾ་མུ།, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ iṃ mu, Literal Chinese Meaning: Om Im Mu.) Then, on the heart, both shoulders, throat, and forehead, place this armor secret mantra: Om Im Mu Svaha. (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ཨིཾ་མུ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ།, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ iṃ mu svāhā, Literal Chinese Meaning: Om Im Mu Svaha.) Then, on the hands and eyes, place this weapon mantra: Om Om Mu. (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ཨོཾ་མུ།, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ oṃ mu, Literal Chinese Meaning: Om Om Mu.) Also, contemplate these letters as blazing with light. In this way, cultivate the pride of being transformed into Manjushri Vajra. Then, in front of oneself, in the center of the mandala, on that lotus, from the letter Om, generate a thousand-petaled lotus blazing with light. On top of that, from Om Mu (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་མུ།, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ mu, Literal Chinese Meaning: Om Mu.) generate youthful Manjushri, like molten gold, holding an utpala flower and a wish-fulfilling gem. Then, just as the heart-essence and other five-limbed mantras were placed on oneself, place them here as well. Furthermore, from the root mantra Om Vagishvari Mum (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ཝཱ་གཱི་ཤྭ་རི་མུཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ vāgīśvari muṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Om Vagishvari Mum.), visualize the body of youthful Manjushri as conch-colored, like the color of a Kunda flower. Then, invite him with the heart-essence mantra and make offerings according to the sequence of generation, using the weapon mantra.

After taking the jewel, one should recite the root mantra. While reciting, it should be neither too fast nor too slow, and one should abandon all mental activities except for focusing on the deity and the mantra. Recite continuously until the mind becomes weary. When one wishes to conclude the recitation, offer the number of recitations to the deity through visualization, and request the deity to return to its abode with the essence mantra. Protect oneself with the five-limbed mantra, rest briefly, and then engage in other virtuous activities. This, for the time being, demonstrates the practice of accomplishing siddhis through the conduct of a youth. Those who dislike recitation and prefer meditation should meditate on the mandala. Since this has been extensively explained elsewhere, only a few fundamental mandalas will be discussed here. For those who wish to meditate on the mandala, after making offerings, one should visualize in the heart a mandala like the moon, light, thin, clear, and small, with eight spokes, like a stack of heart essence, round in all directions. In the four directions of the mandala, one should meditate on the four seed syllables that are the root of all purity. Thus, one should contemplate ཨོཾ་(Tibetan, Devanagari: ओ, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om), ཨཾ་(Tibetan, Devanagari: अं, Romanized Sanskrit: aṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Am), ཨིཾ་(Tibetan, Devanagari: इं, Romanized Sanskrit: iṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Im), ཨུཾ་(Tibetan, Devanagari: उं, Romanized Sanskrit: uṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Um). In the four corners, one should contemplate the name "Vāgīśvara." Thus, on the eight spokes, one should meditate on eight white and radiant seed syllables that dispel all the darkness of ignorance, clearly visualizing them simultaneously with wisdom. In the heart essence, one should contemplate the letter མུ་(Tibetan, Devanagari: मु, Romanized Sanskrit: mu, Literal Chinese meaning: Mu) blazing with light. One should contemplate how its rays illuminate the letters, the mandala, and one's entire body, and purify and illuminate all the stains of afflictions as much as possible. When one wishes to conclude, one should contemplate that all phenomena are merely appearances of one's own mind, and that the mind has become the wheel of wisdom, appearing as clear, bright, and peaceful as the mandala. All phenomena are also extremely peaceful, free from all elaboration, naturally radiant, and free from all manifest constructs. One should remain in contemplation in this way. When one wishes to arise from meditation, one should contemplate the arising of compassion, and arise with the intention of benefiting beings, and adjust one's conduct accordingly. This briefly demonstrates the ritual for accomplishing siddhis based on the conduct of a youth, and the methods for accumulating the collections of merit and wisdom, which are condensed from the vast Mañjuśrīmūlakalpa.
