Those who dwell and wander in places of fear, that is the ascetic practice of the great wrathful one's body. Constantly reciting secret mantras and not speaking mundane words, and if demons manifest in pleasing or displeasing forms, either breathing out with joyful words or frightening with unpleasant words, not replying is the ascetic practice of speech. Constantly thinking only of the Bhagavan Yamantaka, completely abandoning other thoughts, not being attached to anything other than one's own deity, constantly being pleased with one's own deity, unpleasant forms appearing, unpleasant sounds being heard, yet without fear in the mind, similarly, even when pleasing objects appear, not being distracted or attached, but remaining with a mind that is exceedingly firm, that is the ascetic practice of mind. Practicing with these three kinds of ascetic practices becomes common to both outer and inner. The difference is that those who hold outer ascetic practices do not eat food, abide in fasting, and bathe three times a day. When hungry, they eat cow dung. If they cannot sustain the body with that, they should mix it with cow's milk and drink it. Or they should properly mix the five products of the cow and drink it. The ritual for properly mixing it is as follows: First, mix cow dung with cow urine, knead it well, and let it sit for a while. Then leave the clear liquid on top and the sediment at the bottom, take the middle portion that is moderately thick, and mix it with cow's milk, ghee, and yogurt, cook it thoroughly, and drink it from time to time. Those who cannot do that can also use the three white things, etc., eat pure and praised food, bathe properly, and practice asceticism. The three great times of the day are: immediately after waking up in the morning, noon, and before going to bed in the evening. For the remaining times, after defecating, one should wash the whole body. For urination and spitting, one should wash the mouth and hands. After passing gas from above and below, spitting, eating food, and after eating, one should only wash the mouth.

It should also be done. Furthermore, things that are not suitable to do, that the Buddha does not allow, speech should also be guarded. This is the unique characteristic of external asceticism. So, what is the unique characteristic of internal asceticism? Not keeping fasts, not bathing, not abstaining from food, not avoiding defilement and eating, as well as eating raw things like human flesh, elephant meat, horse meat, beef, dog meat, which have become the food of vows, and the five nectars called Enlightenment (Tibetan: སྣང་མཛད།), urine, seeds, red lotus, and great meat are all eaten, and for any action, whether it is taboo or not taboo, holding two kinds of thoughts, abiding away from actions, and practicing asceticism, this is the inner characteristic. Having practiced asceticism for six months in this way, it is said that one can begin to practice. Before practicing asceticism, one must combine any of the three kinds of approaching methods, namely, determining the time, determining the number, and obtaining the signs. It should be understood in this way. Having possessed the approaching method and asceticism in this way, one should begin to practice. First, in good conditions, go to places such as cemeteries, and draw the mandala as mentioned above at night with the ashes of the cemetery. Here, briefly explain the characteristics of the Vajra Mandala of the Bhagavan: The core mandala has nine squares, marked with various vajras. On top of it, draw various lotuses, which can be eight petals, sixteen petals, one hundred petals, or one thousand petals, etc., as you like. Outside the core mandala, also draw four corners, four doors, and horse paths. On the outer periphery, draw a wheel with hundreds of thousands of spokes, with burning vajras surrounding the top of the wheel, from which flames radiate. In the center, directions, and doors, etc., also, just as before, when visualizing the wheel in one's own heart, place seventeen letters in the positions of the sun and moon. Offerings of flowers and incense, etc., and torma, etc., there is no difference between inside and outside, flowers offered with blood, incense of great meat, strings of sesame oil lamps, and meat.
