Furthermore, if the one to be subdued possesses merit, At that time, they will be separated from the gods, And great joy will arise towards me, The practitioner is a great being, And will triumph over all evils. For those to be subdued who possess merit, protectors such as those born with them will arise. For example, the one called Indra, who governs the realms of gods and humans, protects those people who are surrounded by his retinue. They reside in the human realm and protect with great power those people who possess merit. Furthermore, gods such as field deities and family deities, and those gods who are served through means such as fire offerings, will also protect. If they do not come under the power of the practitioner, then at that time, such appearances will occur in the dreams of the practitioner or the excellent friend of practice: the speech of the one to be subdued is grand and majestic, the army is strong, the dwelling is excellent, and they possess armor and weapons. If such a thing occurs, then at that time the practitioner should begin the action called "possessing two actions." What are the two actions? They are differentiation and control. The action for that is as follows: First, make an image of the one to be subdued from their footprints, dirt, and so forth, and from their house, poisonous substances, and hot substances such as knives, and from snake meat and snake skin. On daphne bark or tree bark, and so forth, clearly write the country, caste, clan, and name, and then insert it into the heart of the image. Then, mix black guggul incense, and the teeth of fierce predators such as tigers and foxes, and the feces of the animal called "the stealer," the cat, and ram semen (because these animals mate with their mothers). The filth from the secret places of those animals, repeatedly soaked with their urine, becoming extremely foul-smelling and defiled, and the pubic cloth of a prostitute, mix these together, and then mix with the hooves and urine of mules and dzos, making a paste. Smear and sprinkle this paste on the image and dwelling of the one to be subdued. One part should be used for fumigation, fumigating the image and the dwelling.
